Karen was a wonderful person and she is missed dearly here. Why these things happen?, nobody will ever know that answer to this question. I feel that if nobody suffered then we would not know to appreciate the good things. We must try to find the good in all that happens. Karen for example has brought much love and happiness into many, many peoples lives, when we lost Karen we gained an Angel to watch over us, we have someone that when we are sad or have questions like this we can talk to and no matter what she will hear us. Your post touched my heart in many ways, more then you will know. Big Hugs to you.  |

I have always believed that good things come from bad. Just look at your cousin, she has had her share of bad things but good has come from them. I think the bad just make us stronger.  |

I agree, I have asked this question a lot. And maybe it is because we need to go through the bad to appriciate the good things. I believe there are lessons in all the bad things, no matter how bad. Even if it teaches us to cherish everyday as if it was our last. Life is precious.
It seems like the really good hearted people seem to have bad things happen to them. But there are a lot of good people who have a really good life and are healthy etc. We just don't always see them or hear from them I guess. Who knows.. Maybe God takes the people who are good and loving early because he needs them at his side. Maybe it takes a sickness to change the person and to show them the lessons that need to be learned, because it is the only way for them to learn. Anything else, they may not learn to love, care etc. A friend of mine was one of those people who didn't care about anyone or anything. Loved only himself etc. Well, he ended up in the hospital and almost died due to a blood clot. The doctors didn't think he would make it. He slipped in a coma for 3 days. While people prayed at his bedside, and prayed he would make it. They held out little hope. Then 3 days later, he came out of that coma and has been a changed person since. He he very loving, caring and giving. He respects all living things. He knows that if it wasn't for him going through that.. he wouldn't be who he is to day. He doesn't know for sure what made him change into this whole other person, but he loves it because he wouldn't want it any other way. I think miracles can come in many forms, even in the worst imaginable ways. God Bless  |

I wish I knew or could help answer this.. Everytime I think about Karen, tears flood my eyes. She was very much a part of my family and I considered her a real aunt to me. I had the same questions and still do when I think about her. But I know that if there is a Heaven, I know she is there and smiling down on us, and she isnt in pain anymore. That much I can smile about. Karen had such a beeautiful heart and her soul touched many more than she will ever know, and she will always be missed and have a sppecial place in my heart. Thank You Peaches....SisZema....Yes I believe God does Everything for a Reason for His Purpose.., & Yes It is One of Life's Great Mysteries., we will Never know why Until we are There & He tells us... I just know So many Here have touched my Life in the short time I have been here at USM., then there are Those who I have Loved & Lost in my Life.., those who were So Precious to me.., they are really not gone., because the Love I have for them, they for me., it is here within my heart...,I take that Love with me where ever I go..I don't think God Intended that Love to die I don't believe He would Allow Us to Love so Deeply, so Completly., then it All just end when He calls Our Loved Ones Home...I think it is with Us Always., and in a sense, they too are still with us, because isn't....Love is Eternal???...For God's Love is Eternal& I've the Feeling even though I didn't know Thunderhead/Karen, She is Out there Among those Beautiful Stars., Cloud Waltzing..,With All Our Loved Ones who Have been Called Home.., The thought makes me *Smile*.. I have asked that question many times in my life. I think we notice it more when a good person is taken from us because they have had such an impact and contributed so much in our lives that we feel stronger about losing them and hurt more so when they have been suffering and in pain than we would if it was someone we don't care for that was not so good a person. I have felt that they have been so good on earth that God as someone mentioned before needs them by his side. They have already done so much on earth already. Beautiful Post and replies. I think of Karen and miss her even though I didn't know her personally. I knew her through her Posts and how others love her and it was a very sad time when she was taken, but also a good thing she wasn't going to suffer from the pain anymore. She will always be with us.  |

No one really knows the whole structure of life. Good or bad things can happen to any person, whether they are rich, poor, evil, pure-hearted, etc. Also, there is a quote which goes like, "Everything happens for a reason." I think that that is very true, and that whatever happens, it happens because it must happen. So, don't blame yourself or anyone else if something bad happens, because it really isn't their fault, in a way. In conclusion, to answer your question, bad things happen to good people because, well... it just does. Stuff happens. You have to leave it behind you, and go on. It doesn't matter whether the person is good or bad, because anything can happen to them. I hope I might have cleared stuff up, even though that was confusing and it may not be all true. Anyways, life can be tough sometimes, so we just have to face it. May God bless you. *Hugs*  |
