just do whaet you think is right for you and dress however makes you feel best about yourself...we're all entitled to make our own decisions (even if some don't work out in the long run) and it would be unfair to you for anyone else here to say that you can't have the look you want! good luck at your new school and i hope you make lots of good friends that will be there for you if you ever need them   |

Are you worried of what people might think? Be yourself, go for what you want, the look you want. Who cares what people think? If it makes you feel good about yourself and all, then go for it. People can think what they want don't let it get to you. If they think you're a poser, so what who are they to say who or what you are? It's just a style that you like. Oh, and by the there is nothing wrong with Kmart. hope you make a bunch of friends!!  |

not at all!! My friends tell me I went from being this huge loser with one friend and "the worst hair and makeup" to the girl who ppl want to be her friend and want her hair and want her to do her make up. I don't think thats exactly me but I know i've changed. I was still at the same school but I decided, i am losing weight, cutting my hair and asking my mom for help on my make up. I've always loved the punck rock look too but i don't think i'd be able to pull it off. I've been preppy for like 2 going on 3 years and i don't really wanna change that right away. I just wanna do my own look and maybe since I am going into high school people will follow my look or look like me. i dunno yet. because i went to a cathlioc school for 9 yrs and this is my first year of "free dress" my best of luck to you!! **huggs** ~*Sarah*~ And as for music, you'll get use to it :-p After a while it all starts to sound the same. LOL  |

i say go with whatever makes you most comfortable. i don't think it is good to change your image to be what others want you to be, but it sounds to me like you want to change it to be what you want. if others think you are a "poser"...who cares. as long as you are being who you want to be.  |

I say go for it. New school, new look, new image and outlook. If that's how you wanna dress then dress that way. Everyone is a poser when you think about it. I mean do you really think all of the kids who dress punk came out of the womb with dog collars and black eyeliner? I seriously doubt it. Go for it, do what you want, but (just my opinion) if you're only interested in the look, not the music,oranything else, I wouldn't call myself a goth..I wear darker colored clothes, and have piercings, but I don't call myself gothic.  |

Er well I do not see why the punk goth look would make you a poser just rember I am punk/goth and I am not a poser and no one calls me a poser a freak and a satin worshiper maybe but never have a heard of being called a poser. Do what you want my mum dose not like my look like ok I may not be pure punk or goth and still have many other stlyes mixed with my own but my mum still wishes I would not I just egnore her my dad is cool with it. But seriouly the people who will give you a hard time for what you wear are the ones you should not be friends with. Do not stopp yourself from doing something you want to do because of stuff people might say because in the end it is you you should be making happy not other people.

well i say if you don't like gothic music, then just don't call yourself goth. lol you can dress however you want. and you know, if anyone asks why you're wearing something, tell them 'casue you like it- simple as that! but if you wanna listen to some stuff, I have great recommendations- only cause it's awesome music and you might like it if you heard the right stuff! just be you. you'll grow into whoever you are, whatever style that is really you.  |
