Ouch! Why did this have to happen now?!............Pigtails

Why does everything have to happen all at once? I have about a month left of being pregnant, so I have enough physical difficulties at the moment with that. Now one of my wisdom teeth decides to start coming in. So the gums around it have swollen up horribly, and it's soooooo painful.

This happened this same week last year to the other side. Only then, I took a bunch of Advil to keep the swelling and the pain down. I can take Tylenol now, but I don't want to take a lot. I can barely open my mouth, and it hurts to swallow. I know it will go away, but it's almost too painful to eat, and being pregnant, I can't not eat, it'd be bad for the baby.

Argh!!

Date: 8/3/2003 8:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 61893    Ohh you poor thing! I know how painful wisdom teeth can be I know it hrts to swallow, but try drinking some chocolate milk, maybe even try some soup. I hope it gets better soon hun!
Date: 8/3/2003 9:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 28767    OUCH! I hate that. Dude rub some anbesol on it. Works wonders. I don't have dental so i can't see a dentist til Septembet. and my wisdom teeth are coming back in too. Peace Out..
Date: 8/3/2003 9:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    Go to the dentist! The Tylenol will do the baby far more harm than a trip to the dentist. I had to have a back tooth pulled whilst I was expecting my second son, it was unpleasant but necessary, after all, who wants to be a new mom with all the stresses and strains that causes AND have to cope with toothache at the same time?
Date: 8/3/2003 9:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    Also, if the gum around the tooth is swelling then it is obviously infected, just think of all that bad stuff floating around your bloodstream....and into the baby's blood!
Date: 8/3/2003 9:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 53900    Call your obstetrician...in certain circumstances tehy can give you medications under close observation this sounds like one of those times...I had several kidney infections while I was pregnant and I had to take antibiotics and a mild pain pill while it was going away. I didnt want to but without it I was useless just laying down curled up in a ball. Also I know money is tight for you but you should try to get to the dentist. If you do have an infection it would not be good for the baby
Date: 8/3/2003 10:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    Being pregnant can make your gums swell and bleed. Mine did the last month or so. And also I always had good stronge teeth until I had kids, and now my teeth are a mess. So make sure you're getting enough calcium.
Date: 8/3/2003 10:23:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 49037    My other wisdom teeth did the same thing when they were coming in, and they were not infected. It's already getting a little better, though. My doctor told me it's fine to take Tylenol for headaches and stuff like that. It's not dangerous like ibuprophen or asprin. That's what it says in the books I've read, too. If it gets any worse, I will go to a dentist, though.
Date: 8/3/2003 3:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    yeah, the doctor told me tylonol was fine too. hmmmm. anyway, i would talk to the dentist about it. i had all 4 wisdom teeth and 2 molars pulled at the same time, but the pain of that was nothing compared to a toothache! and running after a new baby won't be much fun with all that pain. toothaches are the worst! i hope you feel better real soon.
