When this tragedy happened, I referred to it as the TITANIC of Rock n roll...I stayed by CNN the entire weekend bawling my eyes out...I might not have known these people who died, but it touched my heart ...these were the brothers and sisters who I stood next to at ALL the concerts I have ever been to throughout all these years. It could have been ANYONE i knew..It could have been myself...
I am talking about what happened at the Station in Rhode Island. Indeed this was a horror. To see the burning faces of all our rock n roll brothers and sisters. To know that all those people in the front died in just a few short minutes.
These fans of GREAT WHITE left behind children and Mothers and Fathers...and friends. The pain from that night will never cease. The survivors are maimed forever with physical and mental scars. We must lift them up and let them know that they all are forever in our hearts.
But to be the band (who also lost a member)...to be the owners of that club...and to whomever was involved'...the horror for them will remain forever.
I praise Great White for going on with their career and raising money to help these families who have lost...
I ask that the angels surround them all.
And I ask that the sacred grounds that these souls died on will find their place in heaven with their keeper.
How it changed my life:changed it tremendously...just goes to show how one minute your living life...your dressing up to go hang out with your friends to hear the beauty of music...the next....your soul is wandering aimlessly in a cloud of smoke...hoping the next angel to come through the smoke is YOUR angel...and is coming to take you HOME and out of pain...
