I saw the movie in theatres (wish I'd kept my money)and left the theatre in a fit of confusion. I think what happened is they tried to combine too much info into too short a movie. They never really answer a lot of questions that are arisen throughout the movie. I hope they don't try to sequel(sp?) this one.  |

that whole movie confused me. As for the reason the woman and child did not die it is because they made copies of the movie so that means the girls story will be told over and over again. Which means she gets to keep killing. Heck at least thats what I think.  |

Glad i'm not the only one confused, they should have explained this stuff better. The plot of this movie was great IMO, but you guys are right. Too much info in too little time. |

the title "ring" alludes to the fact that it is an endless cycle. If you stop the cycle you die, so to live you have to perpetuate the curse. They didn´t die because they were going to pass along the curse. The horses drowned themselves because they became crazy with fear at seeing that Naomi´s character had been tained by Samara.  |

You arent the only one that was confused with this movie.. Kethria explained it well though. I had to watch it twice to catch the meanings of a few things I dont think it is as good or as scary as people were saying it was though, but thats just me.  hehe *hugs*  |

I honestly didn't think this movie was that scary either, more weird then scary. The part that did actually scare me though was when Samara came out of the TV set...I almost screamed lol. |

If you ever want to see a movie that will scare your socks off, watch the Japanese version of the Ring. It's called Ringu...I just about poo'd when I saw it. *LoL*

Also...I found that I could understand 'Ringu' a lot easier than 'The Ring'. Maybe it would help you to understand 'The Ring' more. It helped me a little.  |
