a couple months ago (i think march or april) my wrist started to hurt. it was like that for about 3 weeks or so and i didn't go to the doctor becuase my parents said wait it off. so now i got the pain back a week or so ago and totally forgot that it hurt before. it just occured to me this morning that it did hurt before. my parents say wait it off again, but it hurts. not so bad that i can't move it, but it feels like a burning feeling when i move it. anyone have any ideas what i should do?

thanks

Date: 8/2/2003 9:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 53052    you could have pulled something you could have something like tendinitice... may i suggest going down to walmart and picking up a wrist brace(you can get one for about 10 bux if you go into the "sports/work out equipment" area)
Date: 8/2/2003 9:25:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36757    thank you midnightly. it's the left wrist... it hurts on the outter part and right where the tendons are!
Date: 8/2/2003 9:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 23101    Maybe you sprained it, somehow. It could be growing pains. Sometimes when I walk, or get up in the morning, when I first step out of bed, my toes hurt, and I don't know why. I have to walk on the side of my foot, and it hasn't gone away! I don't know what it good be though.. *hugs* Stay Sweet,
Date: 8/2/2003 9:29:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36757    thanks lj i'll see what happens
Date: 8/2/2003 11:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 20575    Tendonitis is definitely a possibility, it could also be arthritis. I broke my wrist a year and a half ago, and it still sometimes hurts. You definitely should get it looked at. It could even be a stress fracture, you never know.
Date: 8/2/2003 1:00:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36757    thank you. now my mom says "put heat on it" but i did that before and it didn't do too much except make me real warm O__O anyone know what putting heat on it would do?
Date: 8/2/2003 1:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    i personally have tendinitice....i got it from taking out too much aggression on my punching bag without gloves*LOL* and every once and while with weather changes and if i do alotta typing and such... i picked up a 10$ brace(you have to get it for your left hand they are not made to interchange) it helps alot when it starts to act up i just slip it on(it's like a velcro wrap) if you pick it up from the sporting goods area it tends to be cheaper(it's a diff style) then if you actually pick up one on the medical area but it should run ya under 20bux
Date: 8/2/2003 7:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36757    oh many thank you's midnightly. i told mom that it might be tendinitis and she's like "then stop going on the computer" O__O nah could NEVER be able to do that. so she said don't go on as much
Date: 8/4/2003 4:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 47113    also could be the start of carpol tunnel syndrome...i have it in my rt wrist...just from years of abuse on your hands...
Date: 8/5/2003 8:24:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36757    YAHHH that's the one i was thining of not tendonitis. my mom said (and i quote) "it's impossible for you to get carpol tunnel syndrome. you have to be your grandma's age" and i told her about computers and all that but she still doesn't believe me. so a couple days ago, i went over and got a wrist brace thing... it's just ace wrap with velcro O__o thanks!
