Dean's Foreign Policy

For any of you who missed my intro to Howard Dean for America...it's still there. Check out http://unsolvedmysteries.com/usm351134.html.

"My plan for post-war Iraq reconstruction stems from a larger philosophy of foreign policy that recongnizes that as a nation, we must engage and not isolate; we must lead by example and with a spirit of generosity, and we must always build our alliances with other nations, as our fates and interests grow ever more interdependent. I also believe that we must be acutely aware of the image we project abroad, and an image of benevolence is as important to our security as an image of strength. We must do better than this Administration is doing. For Iraq and Afghanistan, the future is uncertain and the present is discouraging. Their burden is ours, and anything less than total commitment will be dangerous to our long-term future and will further damage our already fractured relationship with the world community. We have only one chance to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan, and we must not fail, for the world is watching."

Date: 8/1/2003 7:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48858    Well, all you have to do is look what he's accomplished already as governor. Granted, the presidency is a lot different, but I think he has all the right plans. I'll be posting more of them later on.

Date: 8/1/2003 8:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48858    That is obvious, but would you believe there are people who are still planning on him staying in office? I know I am going to work as hard as I can to ensure that doesn't happen.
