This evening bible study comes from the book of Deuteronomy, chapters 24 and 25. I hope you all will hear the Lord's word this evening. I thank you for joining me and I do hope to see you again.

Deuteronomy 24:5

5 If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.

I want to say something here on this verse as it reaches me to my very own soul and my own personal life. I believe that the Lord is saying here that the first year of marriage is a foundation and the beginning of your lifetime together. The Lord desires that your relationship take first priority after Him of course. You should not be apart from your spouse in the beginning of marriage. Today's government does not see these things or take these verses into account, maybe they are unaware of the Lord's will for His people. Hmmm. Makes you wonder.

Deuteronomy 24:10-13

10 When you make a loan of any kind to your neighbor, do not go into his house to get what he is offering as a pledge.

11 Stay outside and let the man to whom you are making the loan bring the pledge out to you.

12 If the man is poor, do not go to sleep with his pledge in your possession.

13 Return his cloak to him by sunset so that he may sleep in it. Then he will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the LORD your God.

When giving or making a loan to anyone and he offers you some collateral yet did ot place it in your hand do not go steal it or take it from him, regardless of the offering he has made unto you. If the person is poor do not take the pledge from that person, they are in more need of it then you are. The Lord will see the pureness of your heart and ways. Others always have it worse off than you do. Give to those in need. Do not give something to them only to take another from them. Give freely with no expectations of anything in return.

Deuteronomy 24:14&15

14 Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns.

15 Pay him his wages each day before sunset, because he is poor and is counting on it. Otherwise he may cry to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin.

Treat everyone equally whether you are superior to them in authority at work. Make sure you pay your workers the amount they are due, when you stated you will pay them and not at your convience. If you are a business owner and have many riches, yet your workers have no food to eat and are barely making it in life it is you who bear the riches who will be guilty of not helping, loving or providing for your fellow man. You are selfish and only think of yourself.

Deuteronomy 24:16&17

16 Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.

17 Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge.

Do not blame the parents or make them pay for the acts of their children. The Lord will take care of the parents just as he too will take care of the children. He is an awesome God, an all knowing God. Praise Him. Do not treat those of a foriegn land any different than those that abide here. We all deserve equality. Even those who do not have family or parents. No one shall be shunned or judged. God is the only judge of the people of this earth.

Deuteronomy 24:19-21

19 When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

20 When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow.

21 When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien the fatherless and the widow.

When in the feild in today's times or the end of days, know that all of the fruit or food cannot be picked. You will miss some, let the Lord handle it as he wishes. Leave it for another to come who is hungry so that he may live another day. Share your harvest do not keep all your blessings to yourself feed the world and the people of what the Lord has blessed you and your family with.

Deuteronomy 25:1

1 When men have a dispute, they are to take it to court and the judges will decide the case, acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty.

Let the justice system work as the Lord has planned and placed it there for us so that all can get a chance to be heard. Let the case be heard by those that do not know the situation or the parties at hand so their will be no partiality when dealing with a dispute. He is so awesome. To speak of these things that are now presnt in this world. It has come to pass. Thank You Lord.

Deuteronomy 25:17-19

17 Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt.

18 When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.

19 When the LORD your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!

Do not forget those that have been there for you, helped you, guided you and given you strength. Remember those that have persecuted you and did not know the Father had no fear in Him. They do not know God, or the power in which He possess. Remember that once the end of days has arrived and you have been given land and everything you need by God you must forget of those that have perished and have not inherited the land and the fruit of life. Pray and continue on in your faith. Never lose focus on Him.

Well that will do it for the evening. I hope to see you again and thanks for reading Gods word. Have a blessed evening.

Date: 7/31/2003 7:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 48858    IN 24:16, WHY DOES IT SAY,... ""The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin." ...IF IN DT. 5 IT SAYS,... "I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation."?
Date: 7/31/2003 7:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 48858    And in 25:17-19, God commands the Israelites to "blot out the rembrance of Amalek from under heaven." A few hundred years later God orders Saul to kill of the Amalekites "both man and woman, infant and suckling." (1 Sam.15-3). This has been a great lesson of contradictions, injustice, intolerance, and cruelty.
