THE COOKING GHOST, ELLICOTT CITY, MARYLAND-33 DEGREE

Oak Lawn Mansion appears to house a ghost that loves to cook. The 'Cooking Ghost' is what people call the spirit who resides in this mansion.Oak Lawn mansion is now an office building owned by the Howard County District Court, but employees often smell bacon and eggs frying or the aroma of fresh soup in their offices, despite the absence of cooking appliances in the building. In the 1970s, a rocking chair in one man's office became notorious for rocking back and forth by itself, and once, a dense white fog materalized on the stairway.Same source,p.207.33 DEGREE

How it changed my life:

Do ghosts get hungry? Do they order take out? I would have though it would be country ham instead of bacon but every ghost to its own taste I say.

Date: 7/30/2003 9:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 24673    I'd like some bacon, please. Wonder what the history of the building is. Must have had a really good cook on the property.
Date: 7/30/2003 10:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 55994    i'm sorry if you sound rude, but to people like me who are not really regular or "hardcore" visitors to this site, "same source" means nothing to us...

Date: 7/31/2003 8:17:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 18155    As to Same source, after posting these bits of lore since 2000, I just decided to use what I do instead of citing the full book title and authors name title but for the record it is, HAUNTED PLACES,volumes 1 and 2, by DENNIS WILLIAM HAUCK.
