Ok, this is not in the news yet, but it will be, it's one of those stupid criminal things. **************on July 28 My brothers car was stolen outside his home here in Elkhorn, WI. He woke up at about 2 P.M. and discovered his car was missing. He leaves his keys in his car. He immidiately calls the police to report it stolen, and they put out an attemp to locate. Well, the very next day, as an officer passed by his house, 3 kids, ages 10 to 14 get out of the car and run away. The officer arrests them immidiately and calls another officer to wake up and inform my brother. On arrival to the curb, he notices a nnote on the dashboard. It reads "Sorry, here is $10.00 for gas. God Bless You" His cigarettes were stolen, his gum and his gas cap. (no word on the gas cap) He now drives a stylish car that still has dust on it from fingerprinting and evidence tape. No word on the boys punishments, but yes, my brother is pressing charges. (and hopefully he will keep his keys with him now) LMAO

Date: 7/29/2003 8:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 57830    leaving gas money was almost cute, that sucks though that they were stupid enough to steal the car. *what my brother does (hes got a realllllly nice truck) is he'll go somewhere like the mall, park the truck, but leave the windows all the way down. He takes the keys with him, but leaves the windows down. I'm like "Joe, ya gonna close the windows?" he looks at me and is like "nah, it looks cooler with the windows down"... Hes asking to have something happen to it

Date: 7/30/2003 1:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 49710    Here's 10 for gas?!?!!? LOL!!! But, that's just plain confusing too....how can a 10 and 14 year know how to drive?
Date: 7/30/2003 2:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 62135    Those kids better be charged with something. They have to figure out its wrong to steal even if you were just "borrowing" it then return. The owner didnt know they did that so tehy assume the car was stolen. But I think it would be wiser for your brothe rto keep his car keys with him from now on.
Date: 7/30/2003 10:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 20977    Leaves his keys in his car?? If I were to leave the window open a crack to let the hot air out, everything inside will be stolen!! that's crazy, I hope those kids get scared straight!!
