The gazebo sat in the center of the highschool campus. The buildings circled it. Most people referred to the area it was in as the courtyard, but for those who were there second period it was more than just a courtyard.
Bryan sat, brown hair looking down at the ground waiting. Ben had a wide smile and blonde hair, he was oblivious to the fact that the pictures were found. Chris was on the phone with someone and paced just outside the gazebo. The sun was still high in the sky and made their shadows long.
"Hey," Eric said mournfully.
Bryan and Ben looked at him as Chris mumbled a quick 'call you later' and entered the gazebo. The silence was almost impossible to penetrate and it fell long on the group until Chris broke it.
"I really don't have all day. Did he submit them or not and how much will it cost to get them," Chris said.
Chris was born into a wealthy family, and had never really fit in with the rest of them. As they all lost contact over the years Chris seemed the most willing not attempt to establish any kind of conversation with any of them.
"Fortunately," Eric started.
The group watched entranced.
"He has not submitted the pictures. He developed them in photogaphy studio B and claimed that he left them there," Eric finished.
"Let's get them and get this over with," Chris said heading towards the door.
"It's not that easy. The pictures weren't there," Eric replied.
Chris turned suddenly agitated.
"The pictures have to be there. That's where he said he left them," Chris said.
"Well they aren't there. Look the point is I think Tim still has them and is just going to use them against us to get what he wants," Eric said.
"What does he want," Ben said speaking up.
"Probably some more-," Bryan started sarcastically.
"It isn't the time for that. He's not popular, he doesn't have friends, we'll take him somewhere nice and get it over with. Be his friend get the pictures," Eric started attempting to mediate with the group.
"And leave him alone again hoping somewhere down the line he commits suicide and leaves us happy," Chris interupted.
"That's pretty cruel," Ben said.
"But it's true," Chris replied.
"No it isn't," Eric yelled.
"Eric, let's be honest, when have you ever treated that kid nice when there was nothing in it for you to gain," Chris instigated.
"That's pretty sick. I've never made fun of him," Eric said shoving Chris.
"To his face. Same with Ben over there - Ben couldn't care less. Bryan is the only one of us that genuinely tried but even he gave up," Chris said.
"What about you Chris," Eric replied.
"I know I'm not a good person. But I'm not a hypocrite like you Eric. No one knows you - no one knows anything about you except you won't stop at anything to get those pictures and that's why you called us here. You're weak without us Eric. You're a sick person," Chris said leaving.
Eric watched him go and thought about it.
"Let's meet at my house, with Tim," Bryan said.
"At eight," Eric asked.
"Yeah," Bryan replied.
"I'll tell Ti," Eric said leaving. You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click hereScroll all the way down to read replies.Show all stories by Author: 51463 ( Click here )
