Looking for - Are you my mother?

At the age of 4 months I was given up for adoption, and then adopted by my now mum and dad. Since I was 5 they divorced. I was adopted from South Korea and never knew my birthmother. I doubt I could ever find her but still I want to try. I love them dearly. In the records, which is in all Korean, it doesn't say much that I've been told. My mum was supposedly 18 or 19 years old when she gave birth to me. I know that no one will probably be able to help me here but myself. My point to this is if you have your birthparents appreciate them. And love them unconditionally. Its hard not to take them for granted and or what may seem no big deal when they tell you they love you or you love them. But if you had no idea who your real parents were you'd know what I mean. Whatever you do don't let them go, once they're gone they're gone, and no one can replace them. Be grateful to know them in the least. I Love You Mum.

Why we are looking for them:

I need to know parts of me that only my birth parents can know. I just want to say I know the great people that gave me life, and let me go to have what I have now.

Date: 5/24/2004 6:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 62721    I can relate to you. I was adopted at 6 weeks old by a wonderful family in El Paso, TX. I too am looking for my birth mother but have had little luck so far. Even though I have been blessed by good parents and a close friendship with my older brother (also adopted), I have a need to find out about my birth parents. It is hard sometimes to go through life without knowing my ethnic background, family medical history, or even being able to look at someone and know that someone shares my blood. With that being said, I love my parents and brother dearly. I would not trade them for anyone nor would the reconnection with my birth mother change how I feel about them. They have done an excellent job raising me and I am always grateful for them. Good luck to you in your search. ~Professor Cat
