“Josh, Josh!” Karen shouted. The armored man simply grunted and began to walk off as Karen and Josh drifted on the current heading to the lake at the foot of Dark Hills. Karen awoke in a small cabin. As she opened her eyes she caught a glimpse of the frames which held portraits of Dark Hills in different angles. A picture overlooking the lake at the foot of Dark Hills caught her eyes. The waters were a clear blue, the mountains were covered in wildflowers and daisies. On the shores of the lake, the small splashes on the water against the rocks was a beautiful crystal color. “Hey, your awake. It’s about time lady, you’ve been out all night.” A voice said. “Where am I? Josh, where is my little Josh?” Karen asked. “He’s ok, he was only out a few hours. He’s outside playing. I found you two on the shores of the lake on the foot of Dark Hills, Crystal Lake. I noticed you two still alive and brought you to my home.” “You look familiar, “ Karen said, “that green and gold robe. Wait! You’re the man everyone talked about in the tragedy, your supposed to be dead!” Karen began scrambling off the bed. The man leaped up and caught her. “Wait, I know what your thinking, I’m not him. You may not believe this but I’m his twin brother.” Karen looked at the man and sat on the bed. “How can this be?” She curiously asked. “My name is Julius. My family has controlled the land there beyond Dark Hills for many generations you see. Well, my mother, she was like an angel, her silky brown hair that always smelled like the sweet flowers on the hills, her favorite place. Her voice soothing and calming after a long day. On a rainy day, my mother set out to the lake to walk on its shores when out from the trees a man shot my mother. After her death, my people went to Light Kingdom to question their people. The man there responsible stated it was a simple quarrel between them, an accident. My father never believed them of course, he was to sad, upset because of his beloveds death as was my brother. Ever since then our kingdom fell apart. The flowers on the hills seemed to turn to ash, and the waters turned dark.” You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click hereScroll all the way down to read replies.Show all stories by Author: 36994 ( Click here )
