I am extremely close with my family. Family is very very important to me. We aren't really ones to say I love you all the time but we just know it. Why don't you try making the first step with your mother and try to get close to her and be like others instead of jealous of them. Maybe your mother feels you don't want to be close and you shut yourself down. I don't know...but I would try having a talk with them since it bothers you so much..it would really bother me.  |

I guess you could say my mom and are close. But we never talk about dating, makeup or anything like that. We talk about stuff, but not the motherly/daughter type stuff. My dad and I aren't close at all. We can't talk to one another, we yell. LOL. My dad and I just have very different opinions about stuff and that tends to get in they way. The whole family in general tho, Isn't close at all. I have aunts and uncles that live 10 mins away that I haven't talked to in a couple years. . .That kind of stuff.  |

I am not close to my mother at all. She walked out when I was 9 and tried to come back and be a "mother" when I was 17 but by that time, it was too late. On the other hand, my father and I are just like best friends. I know for a girl that sounds strange, but we are!! Love,

I never ever talk to my mom about anything mother/daughter type...we fight a lot...I'm not saying we have the bad relationship but there are just some peeps who cant get along cause they are too much alike, you know?? I've never really been jealous of other girls who are close to their mothers cause I feel i'm close to mine in certain ways...I just feel perfectly fine never talking to her about dating and things like that.  |

My mom and I have always been fairly close but still there are big amounts of each others' lives that we do not talk about. My sister and I are pretty close too but same goes with us, we are friendly and hang out but still there are a very big amount of secrets between us. My mom left my dad when I was two, and I didn't see him or hear from him again until I was barely 18. Then, he refused to go to my graduation or send me any kind of congratulation so I lost hope that he could truly be any kind of father to me. After that it was harder for us to be close and we never were, then he finally gave up on me again. My step dad and I didn't get along at all... we were enemies completely. I wish I could be closer to my family also, but I'm thankful for the relationships we do have.  |

Italian Princess...We haven't had the free time to do stuff with each other. She works in the late afternoons and I work early in the mornings. We don't see each other too much. Sometimes we do go shopping but not that much. |

Social Slacker....I have such a small family. All of my mom's side of family, which is huge, is on the other side of the world. LOL And I've only met them a couple times. But none of my relatives live in the same state as us. I think that I am a tad bit closer to my mom than my dad though. That's a sure thing. |

I'm sorry yo hear that you aren't very close to your family... I don't know what I would do without mine... My mom and I don't do that makeup stuff together or anything, but we love going to stores and malls together, and taking little drives with our dog. She's one of my best friends. My brother and I are very close too. Since I'm somewhat of a tomboy, we have so much in common, and we get along very well, I also consider him a best friend. I'm the youngest of my family, and I get along with my brothers very well. And my aunt and uncle are like my second parents, I would be lost without them. My uncle is hiarious and really nice, and my aunt is one of the nicest people you can find, I love both of them more than words can ever tell, they're my best friends too...  |

I guess you could say I'm really close to my parents more close to my mom though then my dad. I'm really close to one of my mom's sisters and her kids.I live with my dads parents. My moms side of the family we all always get together at holidays and stuff. So I guess my family is pretty well tight knit.

I'm very close to my family! I live with my sister and her family and I call my parents every day. They live a few hours away. I tell my Mom everything, and I'm best friends with my sister. I'm also a Daddy's girl. He spoils me rotten even when Mom tells him no. He! He! I'm 35 and he still spoils me! I love it. I'm even close with my cousins on my Mom's side. My Dad's family are almost all alcoholics and drug addicts. We don't talk to them much.  |

I am close to both of my parents. I told my father first when I found out that I was pregnant and they were both present when I delivered her too. I talk to my mom about more personal stuff, but my dad and I share things too. My children adore them and they adore my children also. My parents are actually upset if more than a week goes by and I don't bring them up to see them. My mother also calls to ask me what's wrong and what she did if more than a few days go by and she doesn't hear from me. However it wasn't until I was older and was living an adult life that we became "friends". I had a basic parental relationship with my parents and my feelings on things didn't count, as it shouldn't have. They were the parents and I was the child.  |

I am pretty close to my mom, but not how you said it, she has alot of medical problems, so she cant do much, I figured out how to put on my make up myself, she cant wear any (bad allergies) I figured out the birds & the Bees on my own,shes too sick to really go shopping with me, but we talk alot, I can talk to her about almost anything, shes normally very understanding, we have the same taste in music and movies etc. My dad Iam not close to at all, and I do not want to be. I do have a HUGE family, and beleive me its not all its cracked up to be, we do say we love eachother and hug etc, but EVERYONE is ALWAYS mad at SOMEONE for doing something that most likely is a rumor started by someone else who wanted revenge lol its a head spinner trying to figure out who hates who and all that crud lol.  |

Evil King Stan...I'm the youngest in my family also. My brother is about a year and half older than me. I wasn't too close to my half sister when she was living with us. She ran away from home when she was 18 years old. I've always wish that I had a sister, that was acutally around. |

From what i can remember of my dad... i was a daddys girl  As for my brothers... I'm really close to the one thats like 3 years older than me. We can talk about almost anything. Two of my other brothers, the oldest... i used to fight with them all the time, but now i rarely see them-and when i do see them, i'd say we get along quite well.
