You know, I understand what you are saying but since I have a son with Autism I now look at things differently. My son Stares, he can't help it, it's just something he does. YOu can't make him stop and can't explain to him to stop it because he just can't understand (espeically if it is a case of seeing something that is totally different than what he's used to seeing). I now look at people a whole different way. What if they had a disability similar to my sons? It's nothing I could see on the outside. Some people aren't even aware they are stareing. So now, because of my son, I have more patience, understanding, and a different outlook when dealing with people. IF people are stareing, its a problem with them, not you.  |

my sisters are horrible about that, when i'm eating or something, she's like "you're self concious you stop what your doing when you see someone staring at you," no i'm not, you can't be self consious and start hollerin in the middle of the cafeteria about innapropriate things!, One time when i was getting my hair done i was this close to having to tell this lady that she needed to stop staring she sat there for the whole 20-30 minutes it took to get my hair cut and just stared.... ahhh that's annoyin  |

Just want to establish something, you think people are drawing attention to you as being ugly when they stare, but at the same time are undressing you mentally and having sexual thoughts about you? Isn't that a bit of an odd contradiction?  |

hey, who care why people stare at you, i get it all the time, im used to it, take it as a compliment, but boy i hate it when people look at me as i eat, i feel like a lab rat  |

yeah it is pretty annoyin when people stare but ive gotten used to it now and most people that stare are just jealous, just think of it that way. my names kim too lol:P  |

between reading this post and your other post about rude people i think maybe you are too concerned with how other people are thinking about you. sometimes a person spends so much time worrying about what other people think that their life becomes limited and closed off because they worry too much when other people really are not focusing on you as much as you might be thinking.  |
