"A TEXAS NIGHTMARE"......*hey listen I need some feedback on this* lol........KiKi

Hey Well...its abit long but worth the read!



Everest and Missy gazed at the night sky. Suddenly from out of nowhere a sudden sonic boom rocked the town . . . Did you hear THAT? Screamed Missy? ...Everest`s mouth was agape from something in his viewfinder! .....Hear it? ...I saw it! "Whatcha see Everest?" Tell me! "It was the biggest fireball I ever saw! ...maybe the ONLY fireball I ever saw!" "Was it a comet? Missy asked . . . "I don’t know but it looks like it fell by Mr. Landers Farm! ..."lets go see what it was!"

Everest and Missy jumped in his 1970 Mustang convertible. They had been going around since they were in 9th grade. They were now Seniors at Grants High School.

Everest was going at least 80mph down that black country road. The dirt was kicking up behind the car intensely! ..... they rounded the bend before the farm . . . they could make out a brightness in the sky . . . then it went out like a lightbulb . . . "Oh my god! Did you see that?" said Missy . . . "Yeah" said Everest "I’m beginning to think this was a bad idea!"...."Don’t you dare go back Everest?! ...I wanna see what that was!"

Everest gave Missy a 'raised eye-browed look' but continued speeding toward the farm.

As they approached, they saw an odd greenish light emanating from the cornfield.

"Hey old Mr. Landers lights are out in his house!" said Missy . . . "Never mind Mr. Landers! ...lets check out the cornfield!" They jumped out of the car . . . Missy gripped Everests Arm nervously. "Missy your nails are digging into my skin girl!"..."I’m sorry babe but I’m freaked out!"whispered Missy . . . They crept up upon the first row of corn.

They could feel warmth intensifying as they went further in the corn field.

Everest then said . . . "look Missy I’m gonna go ahead . . . you stay right here!"..."No Everest!" "I’m scared! And remember there is safety in numbers!"..."Ok but just stay behind me for Petes sake!"

They reached a part of the cornfield where all the corn was flattened out! ."Oh my god! Everest it made one of those croppy circle thingies!" Everest put his hand over Missys Mouth . . . "sh.! Said Everest . . . they might hear us!"... her eyes bugged out!

In the middle of the flattened out Corn was the source of that green glow . . . it was an odd looking aircraft . . . its shinny silver hue gave off a green illuminance . . . it was shaped like a triangle, and about the size of a Volkswagen.

"Its some sort of Space Craft! Exclaimed Everest" . . . the heat was intensifying and the corn was wilting from it. "A UFO!"...Missy wriggled out of Everests tight grip, and bolted in the direction of the car . . . her face was getting cut from the tall corn stalks as she ran recklessly. Everest started to run after her but then froze right in his tracks!. He felt a harsh heat on his back . . . he tried to look behind him . . . and he saw a white beam of light from the Space Craft pointed directly on his back!....

Missy finally got to the car . . . she was sobbing heavily and had cuts on her face . . . she called out for Everest . . . but he did not answer! ...She jumped in searching for her cell phone. "Oh my god! ...I gotta call somebody!"...She found her phone and tried to dial it . . . but it was dead. "Oh! ... where is Everest?!"....She was so scared she did not know if she could go back to see where he was! ....she noticed her watch stopped working "Oh No!” “This cannot be happening!". Missy was terrified! ...then she thought . . . Mr. Landers! ...she ran toward the Farm House . . . she was out of breath by the time she reached it.

She leaped onto the porch and fell hard! ...she crawled to the darkened doorway . . . she found that the screen and the whole door were missing!

"Oh Lord!" she cried! ..."what’s going on here" . . . she peered in the house . . . and called out . . . "Mr. Landers? ....Mr. Landers?! ...I need help! ..This is Missy! .There is something in your cornfield! ..We went to go see what it was and now I can’t find Everest!"..."Mr. Landers?!" Please answer me!"."We Need Help! ....I need to use your phone!"

Missy searched the wall for a light switch . . . she found it and quickly flipped it on . . . then off . . . the lights were not working!

The house was dark but her eyes had become adjusted to the dark so that she could make out the living room . . . she searched for a phone. She groped around until finally she found a wall phone in the kitchen. The Green Glow was hauntingly showing through the blinds from the east side of the house.

To her horror the phone was dead. Missy started to sob heavily . . . suddenly, she heard a sound from upstairs! ...."Mr. Landers?!" she cried . . . "Mr. Landers Please let that be you!"....She made her way to the stairs . . . the eerie green glow shimmered down the staircase from the windows above.

She started to climb the stairs and quickly grimaced as her steps made them creak! ...then she heard a sound again that made her stop dead on the stairs. Then she whispered . . . "Mr. Landers?!"..."I am sorry that I have to disturb you like this but it’s an emergency!"....Finally Missy made it to the top of the landing . . . she stopped and cringed when she heard a sound that sounded like a FLOP! . . . then another FLOP! ...then another!......Missy winced and clamped her own mouth shut!

FLOP FLOP FLOP!... Went the sound again!...It was ghastly!...Missy thought...what in the world was she doing here?...Why did she make Everest bring her here!?...Missy then saw the green glow coming from under the crack of a door.....hesitantly she grabbed the doorknob turned it and pushed it open....the room was greenly lit...there was a form in a bed!..."Mr Landers are you sick?...this is Missy!" Suddenly there went the noise again but it was Louder....FLOP FLOP FLOP.. it was coming from the side of the bed!!!

Missy crept up closer to see what was making that noise! ..."Mr. Landers?"...then in the green glow what she saw next shocked her! ...there by the side of the bed was a ghastly creature! ..It appeared to be eating something hanging from the bed . . . then whatever it was went Flop again! ...it was an ARM! ...The Creature looked up at her with snarling bloodied teeth! ......Missy frozen with shock let out a blood curdling scream! She ran for her very life!

The creature Missy saw was around 3 feet tall but it was hunched over . . . it had glowing red eyes and sharp teeth . . . its hands were as long as its body and it had long sharp jutting claws.

Missy did not think of anything but getting out of that house!....she didn’t even remember getting to the car! ...she was hysterical! She started to pull the rag top over the car . . . she latched it tight . . . rolled up the windows and locked the doors . . . Missy didn’t know if she should just turn on the car and leave! ...but she did not want to leave Everest! ...suddenly she saw movement in the corn . . . It was Everest! ...he stumbled out of the field and fell face first in the ground! ...Missy jumped out of the car . . . not thinking of anything but helping him . . . she noticed that the back of his shirt was smoldering . . . she pulled Everest to his feet and tossed him in the passenger seat. (Missy was a petite girl but her adrenalin was high)

"Hold on Everest! ...we are so out of here!"

Missy turned the ignition in the car . . . but it did not start! ..."Come on! Come on! ...you piece o junk!" "Start!" Missy jumped out of the car to check the battery . . . just then she heard a rustle in the corn behind her! ...She could not open the hood! ..."Come on!"..Finally it opened . . . one of the battery cables had come loose . . . she slipped it back on and shut the hood fast! ....the rustling was getting closer! ..."Heck with this!" Missy screamed . . . She flew in the driver’s side! ... cranked the engine and gunned out of there! ...She looked in the rearview mirror and saw the creature that had been eating Mr. Landers arm . . . disappear in the dirt cloud the tires had kicked up.

Missy was sobbing heavily as she sped away. The salty tears burned her face from the corn leaf cuts."Oh my god Everest! I am so glad you are ok!"...she smelled something strange in the car . . . Everest had long fainted away. Missy cried . . . "I’m gonna get you to a safe place Everest don’t worry!"

The Mustangs tires squealed as they hit the paved highway.

Missy felt Everests Forehead . . . it was cold . . . she shook his arm as she drove on. "Everest wake up!"

She exited the freeway, but she never thought it was peculiar that she saw no cars on the highway. . She screeched onto the country road that lead to her house . . . the Stang kicked up dirt again. As she got closer to her house, she noticed a light in her rearview mirror; it looked like another car coming up on her fast. "What the . . . ”"Is that a Cop?" Missy did not know whether to feel scared or relieved. She shook Everest again . . . "Everest!"...No response still! . . . she thought this was the first vehicle she had seen since all this terror started!

Missy slowed down and pulled to the side of the lonely country road. She looked for the cop car that was behind her . . . then she thought out loud . . . "wait a minute, if it were a cop then he would have turned on his siren and his red & blue lights" . . . "Oh my god Everest I am so scared . . . please wake up!"

No car passed! ...No Cop! ...Missy dropped her head on the steering wheel and sobbed uncontrollably. She thought she was losing it! Suddenly a bright light lit up the whole car! Missy was trembling! ...She opened the car door to see if it could be a police helicopter . . . (she was quite naive) she stepped out to look at what the source of the light was.

A dense green beam of light appeared out of the sky where the white light had been. It pushed her down to the ground! ....Missy screamed! ...The heat was so intense it felt like it was burning Missys back . . . she blacked out.

A cool breeze from a ceiling fan was the first thing Missy felt when she awoke. She was in her own bed! ...She sat up and her mother was by her side putting cold compresses on her head.

"Mom! ....Oh my god! What happened? Where is Everest?" Missys mom calmed her down . . . THIS WAS ALL A DREAM! .....the phone rang . . . Missy grabbed at it . . . It was Everest! ..."Hi Missy hey I hope your fever is gone . . . and hey listen you’ll never guess what I just saw in the sky!"
