Of so long ago
Of our friendship of forever
That for a while you slipped and let go

Wanted to see me so much more now
Bringing back the good old times

That for sometime you couldn't have me in your life
For sometime you needed me to say goodbye
Because you couldn't face the way you felt
Couldn't be around me without a hurting sigh

Forgive you like I always do
Come back to that friend of 16 years
Because you know I am apart of you
And with a smile you talked to me
Reminded me of the past
Thinking you could change my mind
Till you realized it wouldn't last
Because I told you once
You will always be my friend
But remember even though I'm back
