Terror Beyond Dark Hills-chapter3-Carina

Alice realizing what she had revealed walked back slowly. “Intruders!” Yelled the young man. Loud sirens began to ring and loud stomps soon followed. Alice ran as fast as she could back to her people. “What have I done? What have I done!” When she reached the foot of the hill she ran into Chris’s tent. “Chris, Chris! We have to get out of here, now Chris, now!” Chris stood up confused. “Alice? Is everything ok?” “I said we have to get out of here, let’s head back ok, let’s just turn back Chris.” “I don’t understand Alice, why do we have to turn back now?” “I, I crept up into a cave above the hill and, and a young man dressed in green and gold robes asked if I came alone. He said we were trespassing Chris!” Chris jumped back startled. “Hurry Alice, we have to alert everyone, help me wake them, everyone!” Both Alice and Chris ran to every tent waking up everyone, “We need to get out of here now!” Not thinking much of it, the people walked slowly out of their tents. They all looked at one another in confusion. “What is everyone doing just standing around, we need to get out of here!” One of the men stood forth. “ Is this some kind of a joke Chris? What’s all this racket! Go back! Turn back now that we got so…” Before the man could finish his statement someone yelled, “Look!” Over the hills and across the blue lake men in armor were running towards them. Everyone gasped and picked up anything they could use as a weapon. “Over here,” yelled a man, “I brought swords to sell to the other town, take them, take them!” All of the people began to run towards the man. “Alice, I need you to gather all the children and keep them together. Take them back there.” Chris shouted.
