Long ago, there lived and fisherman and his daughter, Nance. What a pretty young lady she was, with dark brown curls and dark blue eyes. Everyday, the fisherman would leave Nance to go and catch fish. And every morning, he tell her the same "Do not let any strangers in." And she never did. One stormy day, Nance was beginning to worry. Her father would sail futher out, but still. The storm was pretty bad. She lit a cantern placed it on the door outside in case her father was trying to get home. An hour later, there was a knonk on the door. "Dad!" she screamed as she ripped open her door. It was not her father, but a hansome young man. He had inky black hair like a main, and dark brown eyes. He was dressed in fisherman's clothes and was dripping wet. "Has there been a wreck? Are you hurt?" The stranger did not answer."What's this? You can't speak out toungue?" The man just gesured that he was tired and needed rest. She let him in front of the fire, remembering her father's orders, but all fisher folk knew that you always help a sailor in need. As he fell asleep, Nance was still staring. This was the finest man she ever saw. Soon, she fell in a deep sleep. Right before dawn, she awoke and saw the stranger. She took a deep breath, and gentely moved a bit of hair out of his face. She screamed in terror. If it hadn't been for those pointy ears, Nance was sure that was a mortal mans smile. Nance finally understood. This is no man, it's a Glashtyn, a water horse that takes on human form, comes on land, enchants real people, takes them back,-and drowns them! The creature laid out a beautiful pearl necklace. "No! No! I will not take your gifts and I will not come with you!" she screamed. The Glashtyn started to take on true form. He screeched like a stallion and grabbed Nance by the arm. He pulled her out of the cabin and towards the sea. Nance shreiked and screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLP MEEEEE!!" The storm started to clear, and Nance and the Glashtyn both knew it was dawn. The Glashtyn screamed, dropped Nance, and ran back in the water. Nance huffed and puffed back home and bolted the door, panting. It was truley morning, and her father returned. Nance gripped on to him tightly. The Glashtyn had lost, and she was safe. How it changed my life:I might make The Glashtyn Part Two, I just got this from a book.
