Backstabber!!.........Arion1

I have a friend who works in a metal shop, who told me a story about a coworker (let's call him Ron) who had a wild experience.

Ron is a historical recreationist, meaning that he takes part in recreating history. you've probably seen them on TV, or read about them: people who recreate history by doing it live: Civil War buffs who wear replicas of the uniforms and fire authentic weapons in mock battles, for example. There are also guys who do knights in armor, Roman Legionnaires, etc.

Ron didn't make a lot of money, so he was working his second job as the night clerk at a mini-mart. One night he was behind the counter when a guy came in and asked for pack of cigarettes. When Ron turned away to get the cigs, the customer pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the back! But the knife didn't sink into tender flesh, it bounced off! Ron whipped around, grabbed the man's hand at the wrist (who was still stunned by what had happened) and slammed it on the counter, forcing him to drop the knife. Then Ron kicked the silent alarm button.

The thief ran out of the store, but responding officers picked him up in about five minutes.

When they were making their report, one of the officer's asked why Ron hadn't been stabbed. In response, the clerk pulled up his shirt: underneath he was wearing a chain-mail shirt that he had made! "I was testing it to see if it was comfortable enough for the customer." The crook saw the metal undershirt and screamed!!

Thank God for the Middle Ages!
