ahhhhh.......but There is Pressure for men to be perfect. It's hard to see since we are women and we see our own oppression. Ever take a look at their Fashion magazines or "Male" Machismo Music Videos? There is Alot of Pressure on a man to be physically fit. How many girls will got with that boy with the pot belly and Jiggly thighs? How many girls go for the round faced men? Don't we women aim towards the Greek god physique and Chizzled face features? Men go through the same oppression, it's just hard to see things from the point of view from the opposite sex. Media is to blame.  |

But most of them like rappers they don't show off there stomach alot except Ja Rule.And look at Fat Joe, people respect him he get's through the bussiness alrite.Women are expected top be skinny as well.But still there's alot of modern people out there.Guys seem to get by more easily.

ahhh..But what about the Rappers like "Missy Elliot" and "Queen Latifa" before they lost weight, that didn't make them any less sexy or Successful. Then their's Deltal Burke...etc. For every example,there's an exception. |

Well you guys have a good points I was thinking after I posted this these points I just think it sucks how guys can get away with things and girls can't to me that sux I guess guys are under presure as well but they just egnore it. And girls take it more personaly at times.

I think there is FAR more expectations in our society for women to LOOK perfect. Men may have more expectations placed on them for athletic abilities or making money. It's all about stereotypes and it's pathetic. Good post.  |

LOL,there are plenty of men who take it personally. I was always the "Girl" who had "Guy" friends but never "Boy" Friends in high school. All my "Guy" friends where the ones that could never get the girl due to "Judgements" cast on them. Men who are gay, fat, have acne, are hairy, etc....they get the same treatment and take it very personally. I have worked with many Teenage boys who have tried to commit suicide due to the pressures of society and the fact they just don't fit in. |
