Alright. My friend and I both almost died in the exact same way, with slight variations, and months apart. First was me. I was sleeping in the guest bedroom in the attic, and the bed's headboard is up agaisnt a dresser. On top of the dresser is a miniature fan. It's missing it's cover. So one night I was sleeping, as usual, and the fan was on, like it always is on these hot nights. well about 2 am i suddenly wake up for no apparent reason, and i have like .7 seconds to figure out that the fan was 4 inches away from my face and falling. So, now i had 4 tenths of a second to react. Luckily my hand wasn't too far from my face, i blocked the incoming fan. lol I escaped with only minor cuts. This also happened to me, only less dangerously with my alarm clock.
My firend has a little, i dunno what you call it, shelf sort of thing sitting next to his bed. Well the same thing happened to him one night, excpet it hit him because its mugh heavier than the fan, and it hurt alot. Lol.
