Sorry that part 2 was so bad. It was cut short because my parents kicked off the internet. So here is the rest of part 2 and all part 3 as part 3.

Part 2(cont'd)
Three more cars had pulled into the Toman's drive way. Guests piled out, then in the house. Ryan was busy greeting, Jen was busy with food, and guests were busy eating. The party finally got going. All the guests had arrived. There were friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and even people they didn't know. As most parties are, this was lively and happy, but there was a hole in it all. Something was missing. Only one person jumped over the balcony this year. Why wasn't Ben here, Ryan wondered as he starred out the window towards the light. What is matter.

Part 3: The Undoing
Ben sat at his table writing as fast as he could. He was writing lyrics but stopped to write a message. This is what it read:
"These are my final thoughts as Ben Jarins. 2003 is coming to close and I feel my life as I once was is as well. I feel something inside me. A doubt has been growing in my mind. A fear has swelled up inside me. But a joy has overwhelmed me. I leave these words to anyone who stumbles opon them. My life has been favorable to me, I have enjoyed it. I am changing, the world needs me. After tonight I fear I will not be the same. A shadow in the west is forming over the world. A light in the east in swallowing Earth whole. The meeting of the two will bring chaos. I close with the words of grandfather, "Life throws a tough pitch, all you can do is swing." And I plan to. Farewell to the life I know in these moments. I will miss you dearly.
"Ryan. Ryan. RYAN!" "Wah! Oh Jim, it's you. How's it goin'? Ready for the new year?" "Ryan what's wrong, man? A guy of 23 shouldn't gaze like that. Not until you have kids. Ha!" Jim joked. Jim was one of the Toman's closest friends. He was 25 and had two children. Ryan knew him in high school and they ended up in college together. Jim was a warm and welcoming man. He could've easyily taken Ben's place if he wanted.
But there was no need for that. Everyone missed Ben and wished he was there. But they could easily see him after the new year, or so they thought.
A couple of hours had passed and everyone was full. Jen finally took a break to chat. Ryan stood talking to Jim and two of his friends from the office, when he noticed a light breaking through the drapes. He looked outside and the light had taken up most of their yard. It was very close.
Ryan felt the ground the ground shake.
"Oh God no!" He screamed. With a flash, the room was silent. Ryan fell and hit his head hard against the floor. He looked up and all was a blur. Then he laid his head down and everything went black.
