My children have a purpose

I know I talk alot about guardian angels it seems, but I truly believe in them because I know my kids have them. They have to be here for a purpose after all they have been through. Their dad used to beat me pretty bad. Especially with my first one. I was 8 months pregnant and he busted my lip and kicked me in the stomach. He also did alot more than that to me. I can't believe I stayed with him, but it was by chance that I got pregnant with my twins. My first son was 1 and a half and he got vinegar in his eye. He ended up in the hospital with some kind of infection and had to be on I.V. antibiotics for about 7 days. By chance I had forgotten to take my birth control pill that whole time not thinking i would need it. I didn't hear from his dad the whole time our son was in the hospital. When my son got out his father decided to come back around and try to get a little if you know what I mean. I didn't want to, and he basically forced me. That's how I ended up pregnant with my twins shortly after I turned 21. I went through so much stress at that time. My son got chicken pox and I hadn't had them, so I got very sick. Then after I went through that (alone), the father decided to come back and keep stressing me out. I ended up with contractions 2 months early, but I didn't dialate at all and the doctor told me that I must have been "made to carry these twins." It saddens me that when I first found out I was pregnant I considered giving them up. I went through all kinds of depression. Then when I was four months along I discovered that one of my so called "friends" was also having his baby. Pregnancy is supposed to be a happy time, but for me it wasn't. But now my twins are almost 2 and I've left their dad alone. I feel so blessed to have them and I would die if anything happened to any one of my kids.

I know they have angels cuz I've seen them come so close to getting hurt. Just little things like just missing bumping their heads or something, but somehow they don't. I feel a higher power at work there. They must each have about 5 angels.

I feel so blessed. Just thought I'd share. --Juicy

How it changed my life:

I'm a better person cuz of my kids. I think before I act.

Date: 9/7/2000 2:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 7784    What a sad, yet enlightening story. It sounds like your children are not the only ones with angels on their shoulders. It does my heart good to know that there are women out there that are strong enough to live without a man. Abuse should never happen, no matter what. I commend your strength to get away, and most importantly to get your children away from such behavior. Rest assured that you have broken the cycle that you see so often. Your boys are less likely to grow up to be abusive to their own spouses and children. So maybe that was your purpose in life...to set an example for others, to show all of those women out there that it can be done, and that they do not have to accept that kind of treatment. Hats off to you. You have faced your problem head on and resolved it. And although you will probably face many more in your life, you will always know that you have the inner strength to presevere. God Bless!

Be sure to include why it was wrong for him to have acted that way. The more you explain, the more they will understand that it is wrong to behave in such a manner. And, the less likely they are to become abused or abusers. But, most of all show them the importance of love and open communication. God is smiling on all of you, I'm sure!
Date: 9/7/2000 9:07:00 AM  ( Admin-2 )   This is an inspirational story. I hope you are not with this man anymore. He needs help, and not the kind from you....the kind that a mental help facility could give. I don't know why some people have to be so unfair to people that they supposedly love. I am glad that your boys have angels, I think you must to, since you survived this ordeal. God bless you.

Date: 9/14/2000 2:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 4739    It is said that we are all born with angels; and that, depending on how difficult or smoothly our lives are going, determines how many angels stay with us. It varies all of our lives, but we are supposingly never without them (angels). I don't know about everyone else, but that gives me great comfort! I'm so glad that you and your children have made it through all of this. I certainly can understand where you are coming from!
