We went to the movies tonight and saw "Alex and Emma". It was ok, but it reminded me of how bad I wanted to write a novel. As I sat there, I thought of one of my stories I have that I could stretch into a novel. Perhaps after I get my latest list of "to do's" done I will focus on it. As for this movie, I wouldn't buy the video.
This weekend we rented "Maid in Manhatten". It wasn't too shab. It could have used a little improvement here and there, but other than that it was pretty good. Don't think I would buy this video either.
While looking around, I noticed "Two Weeks Notice" on the pre-viewed shelf for $7.50. Then I saw a coupon for $2.00 off any pre-viewed video. So, since I love Sandra Bullock I grabbed it for $5.50. I had seen it and thought it was good.
Our roomie has "Miss Congeniality". I have seen it, but enjoyed watching it again. Kept you wondering who was the culprit till the end.
They have "Ya Ya Sisterhood" on the previewed shelf too for $7.50. Maybe I'll pick it up soon with another $2.00 coupon. It wasn't one of my favorites, but I can always tolerate one with Sandra in it.
After word of Kathryn Hepburn's death, I felt like watching "Love Affair". What a neat tribute to her awesome acting career. Such a legend. In that movie she passes on. One of my favorite things to do is to have an all day movie marathon. I watch the old "An Affair to Remember", the newer "Love Affair" and then "Sleepless in Seattle".
For my favorite female actresses I love Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts. On my favorite male list there's Nicholas Cage, Mel Gibson and Tom Hanks. I'm not an action movie lover. I prefer funny love stories.
So, anyway. I see a new Meg Ryan one is out, so that will probably be the next one I check out. And, then, I see Nicholas has one too.
Anyway, enjoy the movies!
