*Ahem* LSG Bought Some "CURSED" TiKi Dolls........

Here is the story from EBAY:

Ok... here's the story..

A friend of ours went on a cruise with his girlfriend. They visited Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. While in Jamaica they were given these "TIKI" dolls. The vendor told them to always keep the dolls together, place them side-by-side, never back to back. They are supposedly "Love" dolls, but listen to the chain of events after they received the dolls.

They get back on the cruise ship and their deck doesn't have any power. Since Ocho Rios was the last stop they still had a couple of days left till they got back to Miami. The power went out several more times and the ship was even completly without power at one point.

They finally arrive in Miami and get to their plane to come home, get to their destination airport and are missing several pieces of luggage, the only piece that they get is the one containing the "TIKI" dolls.

They drive back home from the airport and arrive back home well after 1:00am start to walk into the house and are almost knocked down by the smell of gas. Natural Gas!! They had to have the fire department come with the big fans to air out the house so it could be checked out. Turns out that the coupling hose (brand new) for the stove (also brand new) had a hole in it. Could have been a BIG explosion.

The couple had several restless nights. They would hear loud bangs, and see dark shadows move accross the room. Lights wouldn't work, and when they went to replace the bulb the light would work without replacing the bulb. The refrigerator (brand new) quit working for a day and a half then started working again. Things would be misplaced or moved.

One week after they got home from the cruise, a friend of his stops by to talk to him and notices flames coming out from under the eves of the house. He calls the fire department and tries to get in because he doesn't know if anyone is at home or not. Luckily no-one is at home and nobody gets hurt, but the house is a total loss.

The wall where the "TIKI" dolls were was completely gone, The entertainment center is basically a large mass of melted plastic, but sitting right there on the floor beside the mess are the "TIKI" dolls, upright and side-by-side. A little charred but very recogniseable

After the fire, we took what clothes and tennis shoes we could to our house to wash and try to get the smoke stains out. Each load of clothes had to be washed several times before the stains would come out. This process took several days. We started to experience loud bangs and dark shadows like the couple had before. after the fifth day of washing clothes we found the dolls in the bottom of a basket of work clothes that we were getting ready to wash. I called our friend and told him that we had found the dolls and he didn't want them back. I took the dolls outside and placed them on seperate corners of my property. The bangs and shadows slacked off but are still here. We have lights that will work when they seem to want to and things that I just sit down will be on the other side of the house.

That's pretty much it, If you want them here they are. Due to the haunted ghost bottle going totally out of jar, this is a private auction. Bidders with 0 or recent negative feedback will have their bids cancelled and future bids blocked.

SEROIUS BIDDERS ONLY. This is not a joke! These Items Are AS-IS / WHERE-IS I DO NOT WANT THESE BACK! IF YOU WIN THIS AUCTION YOU ARE EXPECTED TO PAY

Now: if they are "cursed", I will deal with them. If they are not, they are still cool looking. I'll keep you all up-to-date.

Date: 7/1/2003 12:44:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15070    and it's not like they cost a lot of money, either. I live in a tropical area. If they don't look good in the house, they can join the Buddah, Pagoda, and Yu Kwin, in my garden. Or, next time Dennis & Paulette have one of their Hawaiian Pig-Roasts, I'll bring the dolls. Then they could match the decorations.
Date: 7/1/2003 12:46:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15070    now-if I start having problems, like Greg Brady did, (the Brady Bunch) with a Haunted TiKi, well...might need to re-think my position.

Date: 7/17/2003 8:35:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15070    they do indeed....actually one TiKi actually has a more "male" look. The other..who can tell? One looks like it is scowling. The other just has a "TiKi"-look.
Date: 7/18/2003 10:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    what does Tiki mean?

Date: 7/18/2003 10:38:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15070    Tiki or heitiki are traditional ornaments created by Maori, the Polynesian first settlers of New Zealand. The material they are most commonly made from is nephrite, a stone related to jade, found in several places in New Zealand's South Island. It is called pounamu in Maori, greenstone in common New Zealand English. The Maori name for the South Island, Te Wai Pounamu, refers to the stone. There are traditional accounts for the creation of the stone which relate it to the children of Tangaroa. It is a very hard stone and is laborious to work, especially so with the primitive grinding tools available to the Neolithic Maori. The ornament is unique to New Zealand, as are several other ornaments made from this stone
