Here are a handful of some of the many hauntings of England. Begining with:
===The Ghostly Hand of Tarrant Hinton===
The hand of Trumpet Major Blandford of the British Army's famous dragoons (cavalry gun slingers) is said to haunt the Dorset village of Tarrant Hinton. The legend claims that, on December 16, 1780, the soldier and some of his friends went poaching deer on the grounds of Cranborne Chase when they were suprised by the gamekeepers. A gunfight ensured, and several men on both sides were injured, and one gamekeeper later died. Major Blandford escaped, but at the cost of losing his hand. He rode to London and died of his injuries later on. The lost hand was buried in the Dorset churchyard of Pimperne, where it is said to haunt the village, looking for its owner...
===Jack's Victims===
The infamous Victorian serial killer Jack the Ripper has left his mark in London's East End...in the form of two of his victim's ghosts. Polly Nichols, the original victim, is said to be seen huddled and strangely glowing in the gutter of Durward Street, Whitechapel, the site where she was found with her throat and stomach cut. In Hanbury Street in Spittafields, terrified screams are heard occasionally. They are said to be those of Annie Chapham, another of the six victims.
===The Infamous Screaming Skull===
A skull in Bettiscombe Manor, Dorset, is said to scream and shake the house whenever it is removed from it's stately home. Legend also claims that when war is near, it sweats blood.
P.S. I have lots more of these, so be on the lookout for sequels to this post. And not just for England.
