A true haunting

This is my 1st post so here goes!A friend told me this story that happened to her family when she was little. Her father was a truck driver & he was gone for weeks at a time leaving my friend, several brothers & sisters, & her mom alone. They had recently moved into a huge farmhouse that was rented for a song. They soon found out why the rent was so cheap! Several unexplainable things happened like sounds, things missing, etc.But there were a couple of incidents that she recalled that made my skin crawl. Her mother was in the pantry one day & the jars of presereves & stuff started flying off the shelves! Also whenever they tried to burn their garbage(no trash pick-up in the country), a wind would whip up out of nowhere & the fire would lick toward the house. The last straw came when the girls were downstairs with their mother & heard a clamour above their heads like someone was banging pots & pans together.One of the girls went to check to see if the boys were causing the noise but they were sound asleep. The sounds continued downstairs & seemed to come from right above their heads. They moved soon after & my friend said the haunting seemed to target her mother & she knows more went on than what she herself witnessed.Wolfbit
