Oh "So Much going on! Not enough ME to give it my best!" Ever Feel like that ? ~Jungabel~

This is kinda a rant post, but I don't like to whine, so... I won't classify anything... just maybe give a brief explination of happenings both good and bad.... :) Sooo lets see...

My daughter (Little Jung) is completely awesome: Graduated 6th Grade with almost absolutely straight A's!!!(ONE B+ the whole year, the rest STRAIGHT A!!! LOL (Insert proud mom here !!) Those grades, along with testing scores, got her an invitation to test for the honors program in middle school!! (proud mom here again lol)

I am impressed with her spirit, and giving nature. She has a quest for learning, and an identification with events of the past that makes her empathize with human nature, which gives her a unique perspective. It is really neet to be the mother of a kid that behaves as she does. ***Normal pre-teen child that she is LOL!!!

My Son is having a really tough time acclimating himself to his new school, and it's rules... He resides there, and I miss him terribly!!! I wish I could send to him, self confidence, and accountability for himself.

My own spring quarter back to college is over, and I got an "A" in my technical math course, (something that maybe I thought I couldn't do) and am waiting my score for my writing class!! Both, were a challenge, and both of which I am happy to be finished with!!! LOL

**My goal is the nursing program, of which the competition is fierce! Applicants are accepted based on grade point average of the pre-requisite courses, and they only accept 27 students per year... (119 applicants for those 27 spots).

My brother and Sis in law are having a horrible time with my 18 year old neice... Some sicko teen age kid called in the middle of the night, speaking out loud some repressed grotesque things that he wanted to do to my sister in law, all the while teen girls are in the background laughing and partying (3:00AM)... this is really sick, to the point that the judge even called my Brother and sister in law to encourage a restraining order for the whole family against this teen, that by their account has a weird fixation on her... I am beside myself knowing what to say or do :( I'm three thousand miles away and feel helpless. My folks are there visiting for the summer right now, and have to be told everything... and well I could go on, but suffice it to say, it is all very stressful... good thoughts and wishes are appreciated... it sure couldn't hurt.. :) Thank you .... Advice??

Date: 6/21/2003 9:48:00 AM  From Authorid: 35720    Ashley is a mature, sweet, and caring young lady who is wise well beyond her years. I'm really proud of her for getting such good grades (although it comes as no suprise) and being tested for the Honors program. How proud you must be, Jungabel. As for your son, I'm sure he will get used to his school. New schools are hard on most people and I'm sure with time, he will get accustomed to the rules. Congratulations on your "A".. I'm sure you'll be able to get into the Nursing program.. I'll be sure to keep my fingers crossed for you! As for the situation with your sister-in-law, I send them good energy in hopes that everything will work itself out.

Date: 6/21/2003 4:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15394    Thank you Midnightly... so true, that I need to remember in the midst of what seems confusion, that I am really blessed!!
Date: 6/21/2003 9:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    i find with anything you need to take a few moments to take a breath and breathe it all in... it's like your wedding day things can flash past SOOOO quickly...you want to take a few steps away from the party every few hours and just sink in what has all happened and it just makes it ever sweeter
Date: 6/22/2003 5:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    Oh wow, well all I can say is to pat yourself on the back, You are doing a wonderful job with yourself and your children, Being a mom is the hardest job there is and you should be proud of yourself for being the great mom you are. Your daughter is a fine example of the person you are. As for you son, he will be OK, time will show you that and as for your sister, that is out of your control and although I know you feel helpless and want to help and be there for her but this is a lesson in their life that is meant for them and should you have to be a part of that lesson then you will be. Now on to you and school, I am so proud of you and what you are doing, I was also a mom and going to school and although it was hard I look back with the best of memories and what I did not realize at the time is that I was not only learning but I was teaching, teaching my children that you always follow your dream, that if you want something you have to work hard for it. I learned that I was teaching this to my children when a few months ago I made a comment saying I felt stupid and my 21 year old said to me how proud of me he was, that it was me working, raising him and going to school all at the same time that taught him to be the man he is today. You my dear are awesome!
Date: 6/22/2003 5:25:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15394    Stormchaser what a really nice message!!... I agree, that my going to school is a help for my kids!! They see mom go for it, and hopefuflly know they too can go for it! lol THanks for your kind words... Although I may not like everything goin on, I know what will be will be.... But you really made my morning.. thank you for your words... how sweet!
Date: 6/25/2003 9:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 58427    Wow! Congrats on your daughter. She is a truly wonderful person and is very talented, as she must take after her mother. You are both such kind & caring people. As for your son, I'm sure he will begin adjusting soon. It always takes time to get used to a new school. You must miss him terribly! Congrats on your 'A'. I'm sure you will get into nursing school. You are setting a very good example for your children my doing this and it will encourage them in the future to never give up. As for your brother and sister-in-law...wow! I would think that they should get a restraining order against this teen as he definitely has some problems and a few screws loose upstairs! You have so much going on in your life, just take it day by day and try not to worry about what lies ahead. ((HUGS!)) *Peaches*
