"Primal feast of thoughts"...kronk

T-Rex is silently stalking,

the ancient forest of my mind.

Traveling slow, like lizards do-

Then striking with astounding speed-


One by one, my thoughts are taken.

Shaken, then swallowed, without chewing-

Aspiration, hatred, lust and shame-

They all taste the same. Down the hatch-


Bright ideas...so fleet of foot-

They dodge the beast a while-

But finally succumb to him, they do-

And then, I go to sleep-

I love this poem. It is among your best and that is saying a lot because you have so many great ones.
