I suggest after she's had the baby she get the catscan if the symptoms don't subside....and to the best of my knowledge unless it's a life threatening issue they won't give catscans/mri's/etc to pregnant women....Until then she should go to another doctor for another opinion.. |

That sounds a little like epilepsy, my mum had an epeleptic fit not long before I was born, very dangerous for her, and more so to the unborn me. She was unable to recognise her mother, and even my dad, for a fair while afterwards. I would definatly push for her to have some kind of medical diagnosis. |

She needs to go to a doctor. Mini strokes, also known as TIA's, are predecessors to major strokes. Take my word for it. I've dealt with the whole ballgame for a year. Get her to a doctor pronto. |

It could be due to the pregnancy. After the baby is born she must have the Cat Scan meanwhile I will say a prayer for her. |

yes she does need to see another doctor for a 2nd opinion, with my 2nd baby I had some episodes where I could not talk correctly, get out what I wanted to say and I would about fall up the steps, and my mouth went numb and tingly,I was checked for a stroke and to make sure that my body was not trying to fight off the baby( the body sees the pregnancy as a foreign object and in some cases tries to fight it off like it does an infection) my OB/GYN at the time told me that information. |

Thank u all for your advice...It is greatly appreciated.....I just have one more question...What if-even after her pergnancy-she is still stubborn doesn't want a cat scan? Tangris, my mom has epilepsy as well in fact it runs in the family. My grandmother, my mom, my other aunt was showing signs of having the same type of brain waves as my grandmother (Which isn't good), they've ALL either showeds signs of sezisures or they HAVE seziures....Thanks again for your replies... |
