56971....I know that it was not a cat. I've heard how cats could sound like a human when they cry. The crying sound like a child or a woman and I could hear it even sniffling. |

I 'encountered' something like that before, but it sounded like cyring/groaning/screaming all in one. I got veeery scared but i was so curious i ended up looking around, and i found the source. It was a fox that had hurt its leg. But it was one of the scariest noises i have ever heard.  |

That is interesting, sure makes me curious. I heard a child cry when we moved into our home 20 years ago and while playing of the Ouija Board we asked who it was and two children came on and said they wanted their parents and we told them to go to them and they said "It" wouldn't let them go. It's a long story and I wrote about it but we finally were able to free them and I haven't heard them since. So maybe you helped by telling the child to please not cry--don't know. Good post.  |

Dark N....I live in Oregon and I've never seen an fox before other than at the zoo. *L* I don't think that we have foxes running around here like that. |

Garbage....We used to have a lil boy spirit named Brandon that was always scared. He was always afraid of his father that was always close by or something. We did a recording outside one time and we got weird stuff on it and heard a child breathing, crying for help and crying. |

Hmm whomever it was needed to be comforted I guess,and by you talking to them maybe made them feel better...I hear MOM being yelled from the top of my steps in my home,when there were no little people home.It takes me by surprise and I yell back YES? thankfully I don't get an answer :P  |

If it was a gosht it may have wanted someone to say pleas don't cry to make it move one or something. but lets not jump to conculsions it could have been some little kid that got lost it ould have been anything.
