OK I know this is dumb but I am very excited about it. since I was 19 years old I have worked in the insurance industry of some type. (Health insurance processor, disability insurance, third party admin, hospital billing, etc...) ANYWHO I sort of got burnt out on it last summer and had a kind of a nervous breakdown, my Dr. took me out of work for 4 months and told me to de-stress my life, so I moved back in with my parents and quit my full time day job and got a job cocktailing. It was a ton of fun although the money wasn't quite the same. I was always envious of the bartenders, they got to create the drinks, talk to people, and the cocktails, and they made at least twice as much as us if not more! I started working at a restaraunt serving and somehow I got slid into bartending. I wasn't meaning to, I always thought I couldn't do it. Well, I have been bartending for a month now, and I LOVE IT! So I decided that I am going to bartending school so I can get a job in a real bar. I am so excited, I haven't been this excited about a job in FOREVER! I actually enjoy going to work, I love bartending, and now I am going to expand in this area so I can do it anywhere.
