Calemine Stain sat in her father's office along with him and Armer Malloy. She couldn't beleive what she was hearing. Her heart stopped for a split second as she tried to regain her thoughts.
"You...want me, to marry...Armer?" she asked her father looking down and shaking her head. "No offense Armer, but...I don't love you."
Armer Malloy, the handsome mage in training, bit down on his lip trying to hide his hurt when she said that. "I love you Calemine", he said, "I'll always love and never leave you...like that jerk (edited for USM) Rhester-"
"I don't want to hear it!" she screamed standing up. Her amber eyes swelled up in tears. "I don't want to hear it", her voice calmer. She sat back down trying to stay calm, but she was so confused. Maybe she should say yes and marry Armer. He was strong, handsome, skillfull, powerful...but she didn't love him.
"My dear", she heard her father speak. "If you don't marry Armer you must leave the Magifolk community. For I, the Hight Master, have made this choice with young Armer. You need to marry and Armer is a fine canidate. I do care for your well being my daughter, but do not go against my wishes." He said it and it was final. She had no other choices.
Calemine stood up and walked out of the room for the last time.
