That's sounds good. I always put an egg in mine to help them to hold together. I also add plenty of salt and pepper and I dust the outsides of them with flour in order to help them get really crispy. I'm sure that olive oil would work fine but I prefer vegetable oil, corn oil or Crisco. I agree with you that these would be great with fried chicken, greens and pinto beans. Some cornbread to go with the beans would hurt anything, either. This post is making me hungry.  |

Wow sounds pretty nifty..ive never had these before. I always make my mom cook me fried bread patties though..Im not sure how she makes em but they sure are good! My mom usually uses those hungry jack instant mashed potatoes though..so this probably wouldnt turn out so good for me LOL!   |
