I had the surgery about 3 years ago and had to pay 5000.00 for both eyes. It was the best thing that I have every done for myself and I would pay double to do it again. I did some research on TLC and a another place in my area, the other place would do it about 2000.00 least than TLC but I like the reports on TLC better. Tiger Wood went to a TLC clinic in Calf. I went in at 10:00 on Friday so I had the week-end to to rest. They ask me before the surgery to tell them the time on the big, and I mean big clock on the walk and without my glass all I could tell them was that I could see the clock because it was white, no numbers. After surgery they set me up and again ask me to tell them the time. I was able to tell them that it said 10 after 11. Every day for a week my eyes got better. I am now seeing things that I have never seen with my glasses and I have wore glasses since I was 2 years. I was back to work by Monday and I am an auditor so my eyes a very important to me. I would say go for it, I love it. Sorry this is so long but I think I would be a great poster child for TLC. |

i've heard nothing but good things about it... but i suggest before you go and get it done.. do your research on the places... it's like any form of surgery get thier referances ask about the places history... don't go for the cheapest one out there but you don't have to go for the most expensive either... any good place will give you a list of names of customers who you can call and ask about thier experinces at there office |

I havent had it, but I am supposed to have it done before I turn 21 or 22 at the latest, because my eyes are so bad. As midnightly said though, research the places, make sure they are legitimate and do the surgery correctly. *hugs* |

My best friend had it done. He had had to wear glasses for driving and distance (Farsighted?) but never had to wear glasses for reading. AFTER the surgery, it is all reversed! He doesn't have to wear glasses for driving (distance) but now has to wear them for reading. I can't see why anyone would just want to reverse the situation?? Needless to say, he was not very happy about it. He ask the doctor why he was not told this would be the case BEFORE he had the surgery; the doc said he was sorry but someone "should have told" him. |
