Date: 6/16/2003 5:48:00 PM From Authorid: 53013 Diet is such an ugly word. I would just substitute some of the junk food you may be eating for something a little more healthy. Maybe try to do a lite exercise program. Also, drink alot of water. Good luck to you, hun! |

My mom told me not to say the word diet because the moment you get it in your head you wanna eat and eat and eat. I'm trying to change my eating habits my grandma bought me a treadmill and I do a few mins a day. Drink water/diet drinks and stay away from pops and juice (juice is the worst thing you can drink while your tryin to loose weight more sugar then pop) A diet drink that is pretty good is Crystal light. So good luck...if ya want we can do this together..i've been looking for someone that was trying to get healthier too. Msg me if ya wanna work through it with me :~). Hugs&Cookies |
Date: 6/16/2003 6:02:00 PM From Authorid: 15228 NKA is right. Don't diet, just change a few things. Make portions smaller, try not to eat after dinner and add some exercise like walking into your routine. Park further away when at the mall or grocery store is a good way to get a little extra exercise in. |
Date: 6/16/2003 6:05:00 PM From Authorid: 20956 increase your intake of fruit and vegies, as well as lean meats (chicken and fish are the best) and stop eating lollies, chocolate, ice cream (etc) and replace soft drinks with diet soft drinks and WATER .... i cannot emphasis this enough ... drink lots and lots of water!! And ensure you start exercising .... there is no point going on a 'diet' if you dont exercise. Start walking ... its great form of exercise ... but you have to walk at a reasonable pace (power walk!!) and do it for 30 -45 mins atleast 3-4 times a week. Lifting weights, doing squats, push ups, sit ups, etc all are great too. Other great forms of cardio are skipping, jogging (i jog along the beach, makes it more enjoyable), rowing machine, stepping machine, etc. Best of luck!!! |

Date: 6/16/2003 7:05:00 PM From Authorid: 11341 Diets only work for as long as you are on them. As soon as you arent the weight comes back, believe me I know. I have been struggling with weight for years! I finally started exercising, I hate it, but Im doing it anyway. Good Luck! |
Date: 6/16/2003 7:15:00 PM From Authorid: 55689 I agree with what the rest said on the top but I would say the best way to lose weight is exercise.. |
Date: 6/16/2003 7:27:00 PM From Authorid: 36994 looks hard but it really isn't :P |
Date: 6/16/2003 7:27:00 PM From Authorid: 36994 First of all, HEY SAME NAME SIS!! Nice to see you again, well of course I'd have to agree a good 30 minute non-stop exercise daily is good, I myself did the slim fast diet for a bit, and stopped. I did loose weight with that, but now I try to resist eating junk food, and when I eat a meal I stop as soon as i start to feel full, and I'm gradually loosing weight *sigh of relief* hope that made sense for ya sis |
Date: 6/16/2003 10:58:00 PM From Authorid: 28193 Cut out pop, don't eat late at night. Try to cut out fried foods, and fast foods. Don't eat in front of the TV, or online. Boy, wish I could stop doing these things. LOL. |
