This is an informative writing piece that I've decided to share with you all! :D I had to write this for my English class this year, I hope you learn something new! :D *
The word "ouija" derives from teh French word "yes" (oui) and the German word for "yes" (ja). Some say that it is from teh Egyptian word for "good luck", which, in reality, would make more sence.
Ouija is the "traditional" way of contacting a spirit, but other methods are known, such as second sight or telepathy, but ouija is the most popular because the other two require to you be gifted with it.
Ouija should only be preformed with either a medium(someone who is spiritually gifted) or someone who usued one regularly and understands the concepts of the board. They also know when it's time to put the board away, like when the spirit is trying to escape from the confinds of the board. They often try to do this when they go through the entire alphabet and/or numbers.
A ouija board has a basic layout, with the whole alphabet, numbers, and have "yes", "no", and "goodbye". With some boards, though, you may find the words "hello" and "I don't know". It may also have illustrations like the sun (usually representing hell), the moon (usually representing heaven), and two complete mirror images of people (representing good and evil). Your board should also come with a plachette(pointer).
When using a ouija board, you should never ask them(the spirits) any personal questiong unless they are comfortable speaking to you. It's all righ tif you do, but you may unknowingly anger the spirit(s). That could lead to devastation.
How To Conduct A Safe Séance
First start out by taking the board out of the box(duh! lol!) Obviously, it will do you know good inside the box. You should wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel before you begin, just in case the last time you used it, the spirit left residue on it. Try to also keep the board as dry as possible.
You may or may not use a candle. It still works the same either way, so it doesn't really matter. Many people think it's necessary to have a candle, but they're wrong. If you do use a candle though, try to keep the colors of the candle a light color, preferably light blue (symbolizing the sky/heaven) or white(the color of innocence and purity). Refrain from black(the color of darkness and evil) or red(the color of blook, which may call up evil entities).
Then, all of those wishing, place your fingers on the plachette lightly(by this I mean feather light) and proceed to ask questiong, like, "Is anyone there?" or "Would anyone like to talk with us?" Leave an adequeat amount of time in between each questiong to give the spirit time to answer. most importantly, have fun! This is a "game" to be taken seriously, but evil spirits feed on nervous energy, so try to not scare those participating. You may find out things you never knew existed.
Have fun, but be safe with the ouija board! Demonicangel How it changed my life:lol not to much, but I did get an A! :D My teacher wrote:"Good job-it could be part of the advertising! I used to play that all the time!"
