She stands alone in the darkness of night
She looks so strong yet that's far from right
No one notices that little pain in her mind
No one realizes there's something in her life they can't find
She comes in each day her back all scarred and bruised
But who can tell that she's just being used
She sits down in pain and looks to the sky
Sometimes she just wishes she could ask somebody why
The tears fall where no one can see
Wondering is this how lifes meant to be
Falling apart reaching upward for the sun
Wondering when her happiness will come
Forsaking angel in eyes for all to see
And all she says is "there's pain no one feels but me."
Sitting on the floor she's crying
He's yelling telling her she's lying
She loves him that's the only reason she can't leave
But once he lifts that hand the pains greater then you would believe
She doesn't tell a soul about it
She figures it's the last time she'll get hit
He loves her she tells herself as she bleeds
But if he really did would she have to sit and pled

Years past as she slowly starts to fall apart
Inside everything rips at her heart
But she can't leave at least not today
It doesn't matter because tomorrow will be different anyway
The night comes and she's waiting up for him all night
She smiles but it seems her timing isn't right
The last look you'll ever see upon her face
Because now her life he will begin to erase
He hits her hard upside the head
Drags her staight into the bed
Hurts her more and as she screams
No one hears or so it seems
Across the street all the lights slowly go out
And in the morning they know with out a doubt
The tears fall where no one can see
