I don’t know what to do, should I report him? ~~~~ *(Aromatics)*

I was travelling into town today on a bus and I sat next to an OAP of about 80 years. Well, she was wearing the heavy smell of violet perfume that elderly ladies wear, but there were an underlying smell that I couldn’t place. In the seat behind I could hear a lot of muttering and a young person got up and went over and had a chat to the driver. The driver pulled the bus over into the kerb stopped it and got up off his seat came over to the elderly lady and he ordered her off bus. The poor old soul was in compete shock not knowing what she had done wrong. I took the drivers badge number and the number of the bus. I turned to the young person and said aloud ‘Are you forgetting you will be old yourself one day and what comes around goes around.” Should I report the drive for being cruel to an elderly person?

I greatly appreciate your taking the time to read and reply to my post. May love, peace and happiness be with you through out the year.

Thank you.

Date: 6/13/2003 9:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 46704    You should report it. That was really rude, completely uncalled for.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 22992    I think you shoud report her, but perhaps the people behidn her had a good reason?? I dunno, i am just trying to look at the situation from all sdes...
Date: 6/13/2003 9:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    I don't think that it was reasonable to put the oldster off the bus so I think you should report the driver.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:16:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53558    Thanks usmers. The poor old lady I really felt sorry for her.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    I would call up and report all that you witnessed,I have ridden the bus plenty of times with "fragrant" people and nobody complained they just moved. Some elderly folks can't keep up on baths etc..and have bladder control troubles,so sometimes you have to be understanding and know that not all can control the way they smell,I wonder if that driver would have liked it if his own mom was put off the bus at that age and most likely have to walk?? some people have no feelings or compassion anymore.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 44960    Yes, by all means report this instance to the proper authorities. Maybe by reporting this, it stop further action like this towards the elderly in the future.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:40:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53558    I agree with you, Medusa, would he have like it had it been his mother or gran.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 3648    Report that driver! That poor lady!!! She has a right to be on that bus no matter what. He had no right what so ever in asking her to get off the bus. Maybe she has health problems and can not help the odor. This really burns my biscuits.....
Date: 6/13/2003 9:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    Yes I think you should report him. It seems very uncalled for. The kid could have just moved if it bothered him that much. Poor lady.
Date: 6/13/2003 9:56:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53558    Maybe the drive hasn't got a 'Heart', it could be a 'Swing Brick' in his chest. The youngster should be put to work in a home for the elderly for a while. Then 'It' could see they are people.
Date: 6/13/2003 10:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 60018    Omg report the guy! I can't believe he did that!
Date: 6/13/2003 10:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 49150    I would report the driver. I would have told the others to move or get off and get another bus.

Date: 6/13/2003 12:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    yes... send in a little report... atleast that way they can check into it... and no one should be kicked off a bus unless they smell deeply of something horrid like urine or BO... what i don't think the old lady was either
Date: 6/13/2003 2:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 53689    I would. That was terrible...did he just leave her on the side of the street?
Date: 6/13/2003 2:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 62184    Definately report him!! He had no right to even do that. I mean, she wasn't doing anything wrong or being disrespectful.. so she had the right to stay. Some people can be so cruel! ~EndlessDreamer~
