Good question! I have wondered that too along with hearing that its possible that when you have your OBE another spirit can take over your body like a possesion...I have no idea if thats true or not but scares me enough to not even try it! Now, with the question you raised, my dads cousin is/was in to all this white light and paranormal kind of stuff, including OBE's and such. He would tell us stories of him and his group doing OBE's and going to a scene of a very bad accident and helping to repair injuries. Their spirits would meet up with each other to do this. I have no idea if this is possible but is what he told us...anyone else able to confirm something like this?? ~ZooKeeper~  |

Lol I don't remember posting anything like this before... :P I think that you can meet up with other people and I've heard stories of people doing it, I just haven't meet anyone yet myself. The first OB I had I was only in my room and I saw some big dark blob and I was so freaked out that I jumped back into my body lol! You can go just about anywhere and you're not restrained to walking distance or whatever you want to call it. The last time I OBed I opened this kind of window type thing and made things come to me rather than me going to them. Let me know if I forgot to answer anything lol!  |

I have had OBE's for many years. One night as I was going to sleep I had floated up above the house and was deciding where to go. It occured to me that it would be fun to wait around until my wife's spirit left her body and then go somewhere together...and to show her the possibilities. Eventually she rose up through the roof and I saw her silver cord so I got her attention. We had somekind of spiritual sex where we melded together in the air, then we decided to go to Florida.We flew slowly using I-95 as a guideline. Somewhere down in Georgia I noticed that Donna was no longer following, so I looked for her cord while telepathically asking "Where are you?" She had been attracted to a shopping mall and was looking around there! I told her I'd see her in the morning and left. The difference between a dream and an OBE is pretty much intent. But, every night your spirit leaves your body. It's just a matter of being able to control where it goes and what it does. There are no limitations on how far you can go. I often like to look at places far away in the universe, so I project there. No matter how far away you go you will come back...unless the silver cord is broken...In which case you die. But, the cord will not break unless it is your time to pass on. |

WOW! now wouldnt it be neat if all us USM'ers could do an OBE and meet up somewhere and go for free? LOL! Hey, even if its just for a short while. that is totally wild author 62141! I would love to learn how to OBE...anyone have tips? heehee. ~ZooKeeper~ |

I agree with everyone so far. ANYTHING is possible when you have an OBE. AS far as seeing others...you are on a different plain of consciousness so not only do you see living and dead spirits....you see things you thought only existed in your dreams....  |

you guys, I also had a dream last night that I was flying, I remember everything about it, it was so cool and I particularly remember that I was controlling it (the flying that is) so am wondering do you think it was a lucid dream or another obe? Usually though when I have an obe my body goes really paralysed so maybe this was different? |

Author 46176- do you think that when people claim they've been abducted by aliens that they are in fact having an obe and do not recognise it as so? I mean if you say that you can experience all kinds of other existance then that is what it really is? |
