A young girl wanders alone in the dark wood. Divertedly, she searches for what she never could. Freedom from anguish the world had thrown at her, peace from the loud silence left by those who abandoned her.
Broken trust, no love, bitter memories so mild Nothing's left, all has been taken from this child. No hope, only years of being beaten and broken down. Absent of a savior, a worldly servant, unable to find her golden crown.
Despirited and discouraged, she falls and cries out, "Lord, where are you? Can't you hear me shout? As a sinner, I've only found loneliness and despair, but now I seek you; Forgive me; Lord, are you there?"
No answer; Silence remains. She begins to weap as the skies send down sympathetic rains. Then, a voice in the distance, "CHILD RISE." She arose, and looked up into a sunny blue sky in great suprise.
"I sinned, and you left me; Now I've changed, and you're here." "HUSH CHILD; I Never Left You, I Was Always Near. You Sinned And Refused To Find Me; Sadness Unto Thee. You Have Now Asked To Be Forgiven; My Child, You Have Found Me."
This is my first time posting a poem at USM in awhile. I've had so much on my mind, so I kind of stopped writing for a while. I guess I'm trying something new, I hope you all like it. Please reply, whether it's good or bad. I need on opinion. Thanks.
