Thats really cool. I live 10 minutes away from one of the earliest documented archaeological sites in North America. It dates back to the end of the last glaciation period, when the glaciers came within thirty miles of Meadowcroft Rockshelter and the climate was like that of today. ~Nimiwae~ |

To see what the new findings may have looked like when alive, see NPR.ORG. They show the skulls and the artist's perception. The skulls are BIG!! There are ornaments of some sort around the skulls, leading some to believe the skulls themselves were used by others in that culture for an early version of ancestral worship. |
