We have a lot of activity in my house. Of course, I'm the only one that sees anything but I'm also the only one that stays up late. When I have friends come over they all say they have heard and seen things in my house. |

that is your opinion Sundance, which is fine. But, because you disbelieve, does not make it the truth. It is fine to be a skeptic, but not to the point where you cannot learn a different truth. Thanks you to everyone else who has commented. I am curious what other experiences people have... |

Nothing as of late has really happened at my work, but a lot of activity was going on while we were renovating the top two floors and basement a couple years ago. One of the construction workers was "attacked," having small debris thrown at him from behind while working alone. I don't think the ghost liked him. I've often seen a lone gentlement sitting at a table or end of the bar, only to have him vanish with none of the waitstaff seeing him. I've had things happen in the kitchen that defy explination (pots and pans moved after I deliberately set them in a specific place, etc). One of the waitresses had an ashtray slide across the bar as if someone had reached over to move it closer to them. We even captured a smoky haze in a picture when no one at the bar was smoking. Lately I've just been getting sensations of unease when I'm in the basement alone, where most of the strange things happen. I am preparing to leave my job, and I don't think the ghost is overly happy about it, since I've probably been one of the few to actually acknowledge his pressence. |

I cannot say that I have actually seen this myself but in this building where I work at, 3rd shift officers are afraid of the 4th floor because they say that their is an old spirirt in the shape of a lady that walks the floor with a hammer and if you see her you have to run. They call the 4th floor ghost, HAMMER LADY! ~*~ Xiomie ~*~ |

No such luck. I've always wanted to experience a haunting...but nothing so far. Maybe I should get an Ouija Board and try to stir up some excitement. The spooks would love that...and I, well....it would be interesting. |

I swear an office building I worked in once was haunted. The CEO, who was a tall, strong, macho man was even afraid to be in the building after dark. At first, I would come in in the morning and find all the furniture rearranged, and pictures and other things moved around the office. I thought it was the custodial staff messing around. But then things would move inexplicably in the middle of the day, when I was there. I'd walk out of the room and come back a few moments later and find chairs moved. Once I couldn't find my message pad that had just been on my desk. I searched around and couldn't find it anywhere. Then I discovered it under my desk between the hard drive of my computer and the edge of the desk. It's hard to explain the set up, but there's no way it just accidently fell and landed where it was. That kind of thing happened all the time, and not just to me. But also to my coworkers. So, either someone was a very cunning prankster (and very busy!), or there was something other worldly going on. I never was overy frightened by it though. Just thought it was weird. I often wonder if that stuff still goes on in that building. |

A house I lived in about 4 years ago was haunted and at that time I really wasn't into paranormal kind of things so I was really freaked out but I didn't tell anyone or think much of it. Today, I think back and its really cool! LoL We lived there for about 5 months..it was a very old home built around the 1800's and many many years ago there was a church beside it and it had burnt down. I would hear people call my name and clutters of voices in my room at night. Every Sunday this lady would walk down the road..she would be humming a song, holding her bible wearing the same flowered dress. When she would pass the big oak tree she would disappear, everyone else in my family saw this too. We had a big freezer in the pantry and that door would be open all the time even if we did lock it...ok...I think thats enough of hearing all that! LoL Great post. -BreathingBody |

that happens to me alot...i lose something, only to find it in the spot i left it earlier and where i had searched a hundred times before...I hear lots of weird things too. Ive grown used to them, but every now and then, i hear a new one that startles me. Just a couple of weeks ago i was sitting (quietly) on the couch watching tv, when all of a sudden i hear, what sounds like, someone or thing tapping on my patio door. Of course i investigated only to find nothing there. So i walked through the house, made sure the front and patio door was locked. As soon as i sat back down to watch my show i heard it again, only this time it was on the side window, this time i only muted the Tv. As soon as i did though it stoped. so i turned the volume way down and continued watching. And again i heard the knocking on my window, but this time it was on the kitchen window. This continued all night untill i went to bed. It freaked me out, i didnt know if someone was messing with me or if it was my local ghost again......Darkangel-1 |

Nothing to fear though. I believe it was a relative passed on. Amanda1 |

I grew up in a house with a lady ghost, in fact the people who live there now see her too. Then we moved several times (my hubby and sons) and 4 out of the 5 houses were haunted. The most evil was in the house we are living in now, but my hubby got holy water and blessed the whole house and we have been ghost/demon free ever since. TTFN, |

I lived in a house located on Rainier Avenue in Rainer Beach, Seattle, WA. We knew it was haunted the day we moved in and had myseld and my brother screaming down the street from the voices and noises in the house. We lived there for some years and experieced many crazy moments due to the hauntings. I believe it was the mother of the homes owner. Everytime he would come over all sorts of things would happen and things would fly off the top of the fridge. Being in the upstairs bedroom was always a nightmare. You could hear someone coming up the old wood stairs and things banging around. The basements awlays always the scariest for me. I can constant nightmares of this house growing up and the basement. You could just feel that someone was there with you. There was a vacant room that was made into a bedroom and as much as I craved having my own space there as no way I was ever going to sleep in that basement. Neighbors would always ask us who the old lady was that would sit in the kitchen window. After living in that house on Rainier Ave in Rainier Beach WA I will always believe in haunted houses. I was young at the time but I remember that my Mom said that the spirit got into my Step Dads body one night and she was scared to death. The house always caused conflict with everyone in the house. It was obvious that the spirit did not want us in the house since day one. It was located next to a church and had a grassy area in between the church and the house. It was red when we lived there but I think it has been painted an orange color also. I have no idea what color it is now & I can't recall the address off the top of my head. We had heard that others that lived there after us also felt the same unexplained spirit activity in the house. I would be interested in hearing other stories about this house if there are any out there. It was not far from South Shore Middle School. Thanks. Lilmoma077 |

Sorry after checking google maps I had the wrong address. This is the address to the house and I cannot believe how bad it looks close up. Its looks deserted. Why? Because the spirit has ran everyone out of it. 8428 Rainier Pl So, Seattle, wa 98118. Its a shame because the house is really cool inside with neat features. Its really ran down now. I am not surprised at all. I think the spirit that lives here does not want anyone in there. Growing up in this house was a nightmare. After we moved we had such a feeling of peace. |
