**So, what is a high IQ?**

  Author:  3538  Category:(Discussion) Created:(6/10/2003 6:42:00 PM)

I just finished taking the test online from last night's show of "Test the Nation." www.testonfox.com

It gave me my score at the end of the test and I want to know what number is considered normal iq and what number is considered high iq?

I just want to know, is the higher the number, the better? Anyone else take that test online from last night? Some parts of the test were a bit hard, especially the math part for myself. Math was always my weakest subject in school and still is.

Date: 6/10/2003 6:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 56410    Yes, the higher the number the better. I know that 70 or lower point IQ has a medical term for it: MORON. I'm so not joking either...
Date: 6/10/2003 6:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    I wouldn't worry about your I.Q. on one of those websites. A true I.Q. test tests you on your cultural background rather than a standard global background. If that was the case then people from Nambibia would be given low I.Q.s because they don't know what onamatopoeia is!
Date: 6/10/2003 7:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 53427    Hi Justice. I watched the show last night and it said anywhere from 90-110 was considered average. I took the test too. I am ashamed of my score though. I thought I would do much better. I have went to www.iqtest.com and taken the test there and I did MUCH better than what I did last night. But maybe I would have done better if I wasn't having to yell and scream at my kids during the whole test lol
Date: 6/10/2003 7:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 16155    I took that test last ngiht :-D I got 111. They said that 90-110 is average and 111-130 or so is above avrage and anything above 130 is REALLY GOOD
Date: 6/10/2003 7:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 32193    LOL i cant stop laughing LOL.. me and my mom took it.. and sometiems i would try to change my answer but ran out of time so it counted the next question as the answer i chose for the previous question.. but me and my mom got a 93 LOL... the math part messed us up :-p
Date: 6/10/2003 7:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 56410    Oh wow.. I took a different IQ test, and I got 129... thanks for lettin' me know what range I'm in BG! ^_^
Date: 6/10/2003 8:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 53900    Well I got 120 on it but the highest you could get for my age was only like 130 or 135...that is kinda hard to believe I dont think that test is very reliable. I was tested in school and I scored much higher then any of these online tests
Date: 6/10/2003 10:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 51635    Ok, on this test I got a 115, the mensa site says that 100 is average, and the score meaning depends on the test you take...
Date: 6/10/2003 11:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 13886    100 is a high IQ. Anything above 110 is considered bright. Anything above 120 is considered Borderline Genius. Anything above 140 is considered Genius and anything above 170 is considered Prodigy.
Date: 6/10/2003 11:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 13886    Whoops, meant to say 100 is an average IQ *makes mistake on post about IQs* lol.
Date: 6/11/2003 6:21:00 AM  From Authorid: 25828    of course the higher the number the better - but i wouldn't put 'too' much stock in the ONLINE tests - they generally give about a 20 point increase versus actual psychologist given tests - - i know, i've had both 8-)
Date: 6/11/2003 6:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 25828    once you get up past 150 it no longer matters whether you're prodigy or genius - the concern there is just HOW finite you can narrow the field....like the 99.9% er's...
Date: 6/11/2003 11:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 53052    well it was 140 used to be considered high but for some reason they dropped it to 130.....i guess no one was smart enough to be considered smart when it was 140*L*
Date: 10/2/2004 7:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 29928    Hi Justice, I know I am a litle late for this post, but my brother's IQ was tested when he was 6 y/o and he scored 160..he is off the chain!! LOL Hugs,
