They do it because Civic external mods are cheap, it's relatively quick and easy to make a civic "look" fast. Personally I think it is asinine, why spend several grand making a car look fast on the outside when you could either A) buy a fast car to begin with, or B) modify what you have... the Neon SRT-4 has more bang for the buck period....  |

BTW Sport Compact Car did an issue on the 2Fast2Furious cars (gimme a break) all of them suck but the pink girly car :P |

IMO the Nissan Skyline GTR-VSpec, Subaru Impreza WRX, Toyota Supra Turbo, Mazda RX7, and Acura NSX are all very nice and formidable machines, the rest of the Japanese cars however are highly overrated. |

ok MOST of them sucked, the viper, the challenger and the beemer didn't suck neither did the skyline (pinkie) but on the whole the imports didn't fare that well |

the cost... you can pick up a used one for under a grand... and they are usually under 10 grand for new....they are also what i call a disposeable car... after a certian amount of time they just basically expire  |

From what I've seen every Japanese car we've owned has been a 300,000+ mile car. Japanese cars are consistently at the top of the list in Consumer Reports for the most reliable cars. Course there are lemons just as with any other cars. However you're probably right about the Civic. I believe its Camry, Accord, and Corolla that are at the top of the list, I don't recall if the Civic is on it. |

Whats even worse is how they alter the exhaust system by replacing the stock mufflers with glass packs or other aftermarket systems. I guess they have the mentality that if its loud and annoying it will make it go faster, although its proven that an exaust system requires a certain amount of back pressure to make the engine perform more proficient. But if they want thier hondas to sound like lawn mowers more power to them, just dont expect me to be impressed......  |

In 1992 I had a boyfriend named Henry who drove a rod Honda Civic SI it was a two door with a really amaizing Alpine stereo and Cd changer on the inside. But he loved his car more than he loved me cause we only dated for 5 months and when he dumped me I wanted to go down to his home and trash his car. But I never bothered cause i knew that it was a crime and that he would find out that it was me who trashed his car. But I always loved him he made me feel like such a woman. He is suposidly got married in 1993 and I hope he enjoys his missery. Cause he really messed me up badly. I hate it when men become obsessed with the wrong things in life. He also had gotten me pregnant and he wasn't man enough to deal with the baby. He deserted me and our unborn son whom I gave birth to in a mental hospital because I went crazy for a little while. But now I am sane proud to say so that is!!!...Kim...  |

Meh, I really do not like Civics at all. (lol it took me 2 times to read it, but I understood all of what ya said) Although I'm not much into the speed,I do love Camaros, my dream car is a sapphire blue Z28. lol its not you know, an impossible dream car, but I find 4WD's a bit more fun lol. Broncos, Bronco II, JEEPS! lol.my boyfriends dad has this really nice lifted black CJ7.... I love it lol. I'm getting my dads Bronco II for me birthday  |
