As I was riding to lake Spivey
I marvled at my being so lively
Aftere many months and several years
I faced my deepest and truest fear
She said she'd meet me at the gate
this would be our very first date
my face was filled with a loving smile
my thoughts on her all the while
I took the corner about half past noon
little did I realize it would soon be my doom
I was riding a bit too on ease
my eyes everywhere that they pleased
the sound of horn directed toward me
I leave the road quite suddenly
time slows down to a solem pace
and in my head comes her face
the past did not flash like the say
instead a future that could have begun today
the car speeds up, crashing down
the dead silence, replaced by a tremendous sound
my final seconds are filled with grief
