That could be it Tarheel Girl. I was just looking through all of my old posts here. I have been a member for about or perhaps a little over 3 years and I would never think that this place could change my views on matters, but it has to some extent and a bit of getting knocked around by life has contributed to it also.  |

That's a good way of viewing it Dreamer. I believe each story we have written here and each story we write now shows the progress that we make and perhaps a change in character. |

I find myself comparing my posts of old to my newer posts. I see that my writing skills back then were sharper than they are now. I I think that alot of it has to do with the situations that are going on in my life. |

I read mine all the time, being so narcissistic I am my own favorite author here. When I first came here I was 17, so yes my work has changed a little since then. But for the most part I still have the same interests, so the content hasn't changed all that much.  |

I find myself going in all sorts of directions at USM. I really have no personal interest in any subject. Well, writing is a favorite of mine, but what to write about is the the problem for me. I guess that is why I tend to jump from one section to the next. |

I often take a trip down "memory" lane. I think that my writing has gotten so much stronger from when I first started to post on here.. and I am not afraid to use my real name anymore. Its so , odd sometimes looking back.. I think it shows that I have grown as a person..   |

Yeah. I think that sometimes when we do take those trips back down memory lane, we can see a difference in ourselves. We can also see ares for needed improvement and we can we can see ares that we have improved in. I need to be a bit more orginal too Hey Hey Paula. I copy and paste also. I have gone back and read a few..I noticed that I was alot more "upbeat" in my older posts..LOL..funny because back then I was going through alot of depressions and was very unhappy in my real life...Now I am much happier and feeling much better about myself..and my style of writing had definately changed.  |

Hey Girly, to answer your question, no, I don't go back and re-read them lol, I keep waiting for people to reply to them so I can re-read them, and usually surprised or embarassed by them when I do. I'm sure if you need a spiritual recharge you could do that too. I do remember the thrill of writing poetry on usm for the first time, that was nice   |
