Sounds like some bacteria is up in your throat. What kind of atmosphere is the office? I was in science class last semester and we learned that bacteria causes sore throats..very easy to get rid of. Just put a lot of salt in some water and gurgle it back... id say for about a minute..2 times a day. Take some ecchenacia (sp?) (pronouced eck-en-nay-ghee-ahh)...its an herb (can be in powder, capsuls or liquid form) and prevents colds and I think bacteria too... might be allergies? Allergies often get confused with colds...if the water or whatever else your going to try dosnt work then take some allergy meds...that might just do the trick. Please msg meback saying if it worked or not.Good luck! *hugs* |

Also...yo might be VERY stressed out (i odnt know if your in high school or working) but... I usually get sick around exam time from worrying too much...you might be worrying too much (triggers colds and headaches...your bodys telling you its exhausted from worrying).... just try calming down spend 2 days pampering yourself. |

sugar is the worst thing to consume (so I remembered from science) sugar helps bacteria grow. It'll work temporarily but won't really help in the end...will make the problem go on for a longer amoutn of time. |

I feel for you. I have tonsilitis right now so I know how miserable it is. It hurts like heck to swallow. Try shining a flashlight into the back of your throat. If you see some white patches or dots on your tonsils then it is very likely tonsilitis. You could try gargling with warm salty water. I was advised to do that but I haven't tried that yet. Right now I'm trying to make do with tylenol and throat spray. Good luck |

Thanks everyone for your advice. I'm gonna try gargling with salty water and tell you how it goes. Oh, and I'm working at a pharmacy, not the best place to work at if you don't wanna get sick but I'm pretty sure it was all the dusting that did it. I'm also trying to drink plenty of fluids, especially oj for vitamin C. BTW Snookums, hope you get well soon. *HUGS* |

I agree with Padington about the honey but you could even just take a spoonful of it without the tea. It's more potent that way. |
