Last year when my friend, Liz, and I went to some rummage sales, I came across a rather odd looking ring. It was so strange looking, that I picked it up and examined it for quite some time. The ring was made of pewter, with a sobbing angel on it. The wings were encrusted with tiny opals, and there were three teenie tiny dark blue saphires for tears. There was also an inscription on the inside of the ring that read "Shed a tear for every year."
I asked the woman who was tending the rummage sale if she knew about the history of the ring or what the inscription meant. She shook her head and said that she didn't know anything about it, that she recieved it when her grandmother died, and that it was "creepy" and wanted to get rid of it.
As I was holding it in my hand, turning it over and over, I started getting a vision. There was a beautiful young lady with red curly hair and piercing blue eyes writing in a journal. My vision centered over the leather bound journal and I began to read. It told a very sad story of how this woman had been married for just three years when her husband was called to war. He was killed in combat. The ring arrived in the mail three days after the woman recieved the news of her husband's death. No one knew where it came from, or who bought it.
When the vision passed, I told the woman that she might want to keep this ring as it has a special meaning. She looked at me like I had four heads. I asked her if she knew her grandfather, and she said "No, he was killed in World War II when my mother was very small." I proceeded to tell her about my vision, and her eyes became as big as saucers. She was shocked and at the same time intrigued and fearful. You could see it in her face. My friend Liz told me, "Just let it be, you're scaring her." I handed the woman the ring, and as soon as she clasped it in her hand, her face changed, almost as if she saw the same thing I did. She sat there with a glassy look on her face for a few minutes, and then when she came out of it, she looked at me and smiled. She thanked me for keeping her from making a horrible mistake. She decided to keep the ring, and pass it on to her daughter when she was older along with the story that goes with it. How it changed my life:It didn't change my life, but this was the first "contact vision" I have ever had, so it really sticks out in my mind.
